Ibaka intends to return in 3-to-4 weeks from knee surgery rather than the 4-to-6 weeks that accompanies his recovery, The Oklahoman reports.

Ibaka's view is rather optimistic considering he underwent the procedure to alleviate soreness in his right knee only Tuesday. A better indicator will arrive upon his return to practice, but it's unclear at this time when that will occur. In the meantime, expect Steven Adams and Enes Kanter to hold down the starting frontcourt, with Mitch McGary and Nick Collison manning the reserves.

Ibaka (knee) is undergoing surgery Tuesday and will likely miss "a few weeks,"ESPN's Chris Broussard reports.

Ibaka had been dealing with knee soreness, and the Thunder opted to send him to a specialist over the weekend, who determined that surgery is best option. It's only a minor procedure, but it sounds like Ibaka will miss a few weeks. At this point, it's unclear whether the issue could linger into the playoffs, should Oklahoma City qualify.

Ibaka will undergo surgery on his knee to relieve some soreness, ESPN reports.

Ibaka's timetable remains unclear, and the Thunder haven't confirmed the news. However, the team sent him to visit a specialist Monday, and he's expected to undergo a cleanup procedure that could hold him out until the postseason. If that is indeed the case, the Thunder will likely turn to a combination of Mitch McGary, Steven Adams and Nick Collison to fill the void.

Ibaka is dealing with soreness in his right knee which caused him to also miss Friday's game against the Timberwolves. If he's unable to take the court against the Bulls on Sunday then Mitch McGary will likely make another fill-in start.

Ibaka is dealing with right knee soreness and will not play in Friday's game.

This news comes out of nowhere for Ibaka's owners, so hopefully it was noticed in time to make a lineup change. Mitch McGary will get the start at the four, but he probably won't approach Ibaka's typical workload. Instead look for Nick Collison, Steven Adams and Enes Kanter to all share minutes in the frontcourt with Ibaka out. Consider Ibaka questionable for Sunday's game against Chicago.
