This doesn't sound like anything to worry about, but it's worth monitoring his status closer to game time to make sure he will take the court.

Howard posted a double-double with 24 points and 16 rebounds Wednesday against the Nuggets. He added one assist and four blocks in 43 minutes of action.

Howard missed several weeks with a knee injury, but it appears he's fine moving forward. He's averaged 25.0 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks in two games since his return. Needless to say, keep him in your lineups as long as he's healthy.

Howard (knee) will play Wednesday night against the Nuggets.

Howard returned to the court Saturday and played 30 minutes in that contest, and will suit up once again Wednesday evening. There remains a chance he'll be used in a limited capacity, however, as the Rockets will take on the Pelicans on Thursday in the second game of a back-to-back set.

While Howard's participation in shootaround is a positive sign, the Rockets will wait to see how his knee responds to treatment during the afternoon. A final call may not come until warm-ups in advance of Wednesday's 10:30 PM ET tip.

Howard returned from a four-week absence Saturday and turned in a vintage performance, scoring 26 points to go with 13 rebounds in 30 minutes. While he showed no signs of re-aggravating the injury, the Rockets are listing him as questionable, probably as a precaution as he works back into game shape. The team will likely wait to evaluate him after shootaround Wednesday to see how the knee responds with three days between games.

Howard made his first appearance in four weeks Saturday, scoring 26 points (9-11 FG, 8-17 FT) with 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and the blocks in 30 minutes.

Howard exceeded his stated 20-24 minutes restriction and was straight back to work putting up big numbers. As usual, his free-throw percentage was a nightmare, but he appeared to be showing no ill-effects from the knee injury that kept him out the previous 11 games.

Howard (knee) is expected to play 20-24 minutes Saturday against the Nuggets, FOX 26 Houston reports.

As expected, the Rockets will cap Howard's playing time in his first game back, keeping him on the floor for only about five minutes at a time. Howard averaged upward of 34 minutes before missing 11 games with the knee injury.

Howard was listed as doubtful on Friday but upgraded to probable on Saturday morning, and the 29-year-old eliminated any doubt as to his availability in the afternoon. The knee began troubling Howard on Nov. 17, and while initially he didn't think it was serious at all, the issue ended up costing him 11 games. Howard is averaging 18.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 33.5 minutes so far this season, though it would make sense if his minutes were reduced in his first few games back.
