Kirk Hinrich G CHI 4 Days
Kirk Hinrich played 53 minutes against the Pelicans on Monday, scoring 13 points, 11 assists, six boards, two steals and three turnovers.
Marquis Teague and Mike James played just 10 minutes behind Hinrich tonight and coach Tom Thibodeau just doesn't seem to trust anyone else as his point guard. Hinrich's upside isn't going to be too high since he's not much of a scorer at age 32, but he should be a cheap source of dimes, threes and steals for fantasy owners.

Kirk Hinrich played through a nose injury and had 13 points, three rebounds, seven dimes, three steals and two 3-pointers on 4-of-10 shooting in 37 minutes on Wednesday.
That's more like it. Hinrich had struggled in his last couple games and the injury to his nose didn't help. But he's the starting point guard for the Bulls going forward, and tonight should be a decent barometer for what to expect going forward, as long as he can actually stay healthy.

Kirk Hinrich took a blow to the nose on Monday that caused a large gash, but X-rays were negative and he avoided taking stitches for the injury.
Instead of stitches, the would was glued shut by team trainers. Hinrich was a fantasy disaster last night, finishing with just one point and four assists in 36 minutes. If he's able to go on Wednesday, and it sounds like he will be, we're expecting better results from the Bulls new starting point guard.

Kirk Hinrich scored just one point with two rebounds and four assists over 36 minutes in the Bulls' overtime loss to the Jazz on Monday.
Hinrich missed all four of his field goal attempts and showed his tendency to disappear tonight. He won't be this bad going forward but he profiles as a late-round value even in a heavy-minute role in part because of issues like this.
Kirk Hinrich G CHI 13 Days
Kirk Hinrich scored nine points with two rebounds, seven assists, one 3-pointer and three turnovers in 28 minutes on Sunday.
The Bulls were thumped in this one and Hinrich didn't even play in the fourth quarter. This is the type of line his owners should expect, which isn't too bad with the assists and occasional triple. He's worth owning for any owner that needs a point guard.
Kirk Hinrich G CHI 14 Days
Kirk Hinrich scored 13 points on 4-of-12 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 34 minutes on Friday, and looks like he's the point-guard elect of the Bulls following Derrick Rose's injury.
If we look back at his last three seasons with 30 or more minutes per game, including this one, he's been a late-round value at best and on the season this year he has been way off the standard league radar. Still, in a pure point guard role we'd tend to think he'll reproduce the late round value he has had in the past, and he's a must-add player as a result even if we don't have confirmation yet on Rose's status.
Kirk Hinrich G CHI 15 Days
Kirk Hinrich scored seven points with four boards, four assists and two turnovers in 31 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.
His minutes jumped up from the 26.9 per game he averaged before tonight and he did check in a little bit earlier than usual compared to Tom Thibodeau's normal rotation. Hinrich doesn't take a lot of shots, but the steals and threes make him a possible stop-gap option if Mike Dunleavy is already gone or you're looking for more assists.

Kirk Hinrich and Mike Dunleavy are battling to see who will start while Jimmy Butler is out.
Tom Thibodeau is keeping Thursday's starter under wraps as both Hinrich and Mike Dunleavy practiced with the starters. With Jimmy Butler set to miss at least two weeks with a toe injury, both players should see plenty of minutes so starting is more or less a formality at this point. Regardless of who draws the start on Thursday, both players make for good, cheap options in daily leagues.

Kirk Hinrich played 26 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Bobcats, scoring two points on 1-of-5 shooting with three rebounds, seven assists and two blocks.
Hinrich looked good but obviously the lack of offense is a concern here, as is his overall durability and production. Just keep an eye on him in deeper formats.

Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich played well together vs. the Pacers on Saturday, and both players said they enjoy being paired in the Bulls' backcourt.
"[Hinrich] puts a lot of pressure on teams with the second pick-and-roll," Rose said. "And this is my first time ever being out there with a guy that could play pick-and-roll like the way that he does. And it makes the game easy -- when they swing the ball back ... I can just shoot the ball, and I think I'm a great set shooter." It worked vs. Indiana, as Rose drained six 3-pointers while playing off the ball more often, and Hinrich is worth monitoring as a potential waiver wire pickup.
