Arron Afflalo's season-ending hamstring injury is a slight tear and not a strain.

That makes the decision to shut him down look like a much more cut-and-dry choice, but it doesn't change anything as he was already out. Moe Harkless and Tobias Harris are must-own, must-start players while Beno Udrih is going to get extra burn with Afflalo out of the lineup.

Arron Afflalo will miss the rest of the season with a right hamstring strain.

It's a tough end to the season for Afflalo but probably the right decision for both him and the team. With only 12 games left and the Magic not going anywhere it makes sense for them to shut him down. The Magic could take this opportunity to get an even longer look at rookie Moe Harkless, who is a must-add in all formats right now. Beno Udrih could also see some extra minutes with Afflalo done for the year.

Arron Afflalo was "in a lot of pain" after a hamstring injury knocked him out of Friday's game against the Thunder.

The comment is from teammate Jameer Nelson, and it lends credibility to the idea that Afflalo could miss some time. Beno Udrih stepped up with 13 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes in his absence, and is worth a hard look as a short-term, speculative add with some upside. The Magic have two four-game weeks in front of them followed by a two-game stinker in the last meaningful week.

He had left hamstring problem back in October, but him hamstrings have held together all season to this point. He was carried to the locker room by two teammates and replaced by DeQuan Jones. We'll update when the info is available.

Arron Afflalo hit just 1-of-9 shots for four points in Wednesday's loss to the Knicks.

The Magic's starters were generally awful tonight, as they cleared the bench in an attempt to stay in the game. It didn't work and they lost handily, but many bench players did play well. Expect Afflalo to bounce back in the next one.

Arron Afflalo will start Wednesday night as the Magic deploy a smaller lineup against the banged-up Knicks.

Afflalo is starting because Nikola Vucevic is sick and unable to play. The Magic were able to go small with the Knicks starting Kenyon Martin at center Wednesday due to injuries. Afflalo has already been playing major minutes of late, but this boost into the starting lineup may give his numbers Wednesday a slight bump.

Arron Afflalo found a rhythm vs. the Bucks, scoring 24 points with four rebounds, four asssits and one steal in 35 minutes.

AA went 1-of-6 from downtown, making 11-of-20 FGs overall, and he now has back-to-back 20-point games for the first time in a month. He's worth starting in all formats as long as he continues to play nearly 40 minutes per game.
