Jeff Green F BOS 3 Days

Green had his worst game of the season Tuesday night, scoring only 4 points on 2-6 shooting, with zero rebounds, assists and blocks.

It was a very poor effort from Green during the Tuesday night loss in Orlando. As the team's leading scorer (18.7 per game), he must take more than six shots. With Rajon Rondo in Dallas and three new players on the Celtic roster, there is temporary chaos in Boston. Tuesday was Green's first single-digit scoring effort this season. Expect him to bounce back Friday at home versus the Nets.

Green came through for his owners by scoring and swiping the ball on Sunday. He finished with 25 points (9-21 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, two assists, and four steals in 34 minutes.

Uncle Jeff has been on fire throughout the month of December and kept that momentum going on Sunday. While trade rumors float around with Green, owners would like to see him stay in Boston, as there are few places where he would be the first option on offense. Until then continue to reap the benefits as Green seems to have a lot of confidence in himself as a player.

Green certainly wasn't there reason for the team losing, as he did everything he could to help his team get a win. He ended the night with 19 points (7-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, and two steals in 34 minutes.

Green has been one of the better options at small forward to begin the season and nights like this have been typical for him. Because of his ability to contribute across categories, as well as his contract, he's even been drawing a lot of interest from teams as a trade asset. If traded, it isn't guaranteed Green can sustain this kind of value, as it would depend on where he lands and whether he's given the same kind of minutes he gets in Boston. For now though, he's still one of the more underrated options in fantasy.

Green continues to be a focal point of the Celtics offense and there is no reason to think he won't be throughout the season. He is also providing solid defensive numbers as he is averaging 1.1 steals and 0.8 blocks a game.

He's off to a flying start this season, and while Green has always had the talent to be a true multi-category fantasy star his track record suggests that you may want to think about selling high on him.

Green scored 35 points (14-28 FG, 5-12 3P, 2-3 FT) with seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal in 39 minutes during Monday's loss to the Mavs.

He and Avery Bradley combined for 67 points, but didn't get much help from the rest of the Celtics' roster. Green won't have many nights where he fills up the stat sheet this thoroughly, but as one of the main offensive options in Boston he's capable of solid contributions in multiple categories on a regular basis.

Green and Rajon Rondo will be the steadying veteran influences on a young Celtics roster this year, and as a result Green should be able to improve on last season's production.
