Jeff Green F BOS 4 Days
Jeff Green hit just 2-of-7 shots for four points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 24 minutes in Wednesday's ugly loss to the Warriors.
It looked like the Celtics were tanking tonight, as they were never in this game. Then again, good teams had the same problem on a bizarre Wednesday, when the Pacers were crushed by the Bobcats, etc. Green was rolling coming into this one, scoring in double digits in 11 straight games, including a 27-point effort on Saturday. We're expecting him to bounce back on Friday against the Nets, Paul Pierce, and maybe Kevin Garnett.
Jeff Green F BOS 8 Days
Jeff Green hit 10-of-22 shots and two 3-pointers for 27 points, five rebounds and a block in Saturday's loss to the Pacers.
Green was a shaky play tonight against the tough Indy defense, but passed the test with flying colors. He's hot, averaging 23.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 3-pointers in his last five games, but is shooting just 41 percent over that stretch.
Jeff Green F BOS 14 Days
Jeff Green scored 29 points on 7-of-25 shooting (2-of-9 3PTs, 13-of-18 FTs) with six rebounds, two assists and no steals or blocks in Saturday's loss to the Kings.
Even when he puts up a big number it comes with caveats as the shooting percentage and lack of defensive stats steal away from the big scoring night. The issue has been enough to keep him outside of the top-100 fantasy players this season despite averaging 16.8 points and 1.6 treys per game.
Jeff Green F BOS 25 Days
Jeff Green hit just 4-of-17 shots and a 3-pointer for 10 points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal in Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.
Sure, the Spurs play tough defense, but Green just couldn't get anything going in this one. He had 29 points, on Monday, but that's little consolation right now. He's scored 25-plus points in seven games this season, and five of those happened on a Wednesday. Obviously, that trend didn't hold much water tonight.

Jeff Green scored 29 points on 11-of-22 shooting (1-of-6 3PTs, 6-of-7 FTs) with one rebound, three assist, two steals and a block in Monday's win over the Bucks.
Green's one rebound is ugly but this is an otherwise great line considering Rajon Rondo wasn't there to make life easier for him. Players regularly go off against Milwaukee, but this should be considered a nice little step forward for Green, who has been largely disappointing this season.

The Hawks have interest in acquiring Jeff Green, according to the NY Daily News.
Green is believed to be on the trade block and he's certainly not boosting his value with some ugly play this season. The deal figures to involve DeMarre Carroll at the very least, so the Celtics would be saving some serious money. Of course, nothing is imminent.
Jeff Green F BOS 30 Days
Jeff Green hit just 6-of-20 shots in the Celtics' 99-89 win over the Kings on Friday, finishing with 17 points, three rebounds, three assists and two threes.
As mentioned in a few places around here the return of Rajon Rondo is expected to be a catalyst for Green's game and that has made him a sneaky buy-low candidate. He had 36 points against the fantasy doormat known as Philly when Rondo was cooking the other night, and we were sort of hoping Rondo would get a night off to give owners one more shot at nabbing Green -- whose value has been in the tank all season due to poor versatility.

Celtics coach Brad Stevens suggested that Jeff Green's offensive slump is due to limited transition opportunities and the team's poor recognition of matchups.
"Most of the time what I'm talking about is being able to get him the ball in the post," Stevens said. "In the halfcourt he's very good down there. He's also good in certain other scenarios ... We've got to get him the ball more in transition." Green is coming off a horrid 2-of-13 shooting performance, but his struggles aren't new and he was just 38.6 percent from the field in January. It remains to be seen whether the Celtics can put him in a position to be more efficient, but at least we know they're trying.
Jeff Green F BOS 1 Month
Jeff Green shot 2-of-13 from the field for eight points with two boards, five assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes against the Magic on Sunday.
He turned the ball over four times and was taking way too many contested jumpers. Tobias Harris put the clamps on him in what was a bad matchup for him and it cost him some fourth-quarter minutes before playing the last four minutes of the game. Green's last four games have been a mess, shooting 25.0 percent from the field and having terrible luck on two-point shots. His numbers have been worse with Rajon Rondo and perhaps he needs a bit of an adjustment period. Fantasy owners should exercise patience.

Jeff Green struggled to get going vs. the Nets, finishing Sunday's ugly home loss with eight points on 2-of-13 shooting from the field.
Green dropped 39 points in a huge game on Wednesday, but that is the only time since Jan. 12 that he's made at least half of his shot attempts. He's also scoring a career-high 16.2 points per game but is shooting just 43.1 percent from the field, the lowest mark since he was a rookie with the Sonics in 2007-08. Fantasy owners can only hope that Rajon Rondo's return starts resulting in easier buckets for Green.
