Jeff Green F BOS 1 Day

Jeff Green will start his 82nd game of the season on Wednesday.

After missing the entire 2011-12 season, Green has now missed one game over the past two seasons. He's averaging a career-high 16.8 points, 1.6 threes, 4.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.7 steals on the season, but admitted that trying to be a go-to scorer has been a difficult transition.

Jeff Green F BOS 3 Days

Jeff Green scored 27 points during Monday's 113-108 loss to the Sixers to go with three boards, one assist, three steals and two 3-pointers.

He's basically been two different players all season. There's been the Green who will take horrible contested jumpers, and there's the aggressive one who will attack the rim like he did tonight. On the whole, it's been a disappointing season for Green after really coming on strong in 2012-13.

Jeff Green hit just 6-of-18 shots, but filled the stat sheet with 19 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers on Saturday.

If you played Green on the right nights this season, he was highly effective. But unfortunately, he was on a lot of benches on nights when he posted monster lines, and in them when he was posting duds. He had a very inconsistent season and it doesn't look like he may be capable of being an NBA alpha dog.

Jeff Green briefly left Monday's game but played 39 minutes, scoring just nine points on 4-of-13 shooting with two rebounds, one assist, four turnovers and two steals.

Green has been doing this all season and when you add up the peaks and valleys he's just a late-round value.

Jeff Green went to the locker room in the first half against the Bulls on Monday.

It did not look serious and he jogged back under his own power. Green is probably fine and we'll update his status as soon as he's back on the court.

Jeff Green (neck) scored 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting with two threes, four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in Friday's overtime loss to the Raptors.

Green is among the most inconsistent players to grace fantasy lineups and when you iron it all out he's a late-round value. Jared Sullinger was the only big man to produce for the Celtics, scoring 11 points with nine rebounds, one steal and a three in the loss.

He had a stiff neck on Wednesday and was able to play through it. "He looks a lot better today," said Celtics coach Brad Stevens. "Tuesday it was bad, Wednesday and it just didn't get any better, and he wasn't comfortable at both ends of the floor." Green should be ready to go for tonight.

Jeff Green hit 3-of-9 shots for six points on Wednesday, but sat out the fourth quarter and played just eight second-half minutes with a stiff neck.

"Jeff had a stiff neck and I thought he looked really uncomfortable out there. Otherwise I would have gone back with him," Brad Stevens said. "Yesterday he could hardly move it; today he didn't look much better. Hopefully by the time we play (the Raptors) again Friday, he feels better." Chris Johnson played the entire fourth quarter and would likely see a lot of minutes if Green can't go on Friday.

Jeff Green disappeared on Wednesday, hitting 3-of-9 shots for six points, two rebounds and a block in

Green is a fantasy mess again, and has been for most of the season. He scored 39 points with four 3-pointers on March 16, but has scored 5, 13, 16 and 6 points in his four games since. There's nothing worse than having Green on your bench when he goes crazy, but it's no fun having him in your lineup on nights like this one, either.
