Danny Granger F MIA 20 Hrs

Granger played a season-high 36 minutes against the Bucks on Tuesday en route to 14 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, two assists, and one steal as a starter.

This game might be the tipping point for Granger in this point of the season, especially since Dwyane Wade is expected to miss the next 2-3 weeks with a hamstring injury. Friday's game against the Mavericks will be crucial for determining his value moving forward, but if he plays around 36 minutes once again, the veteran should probably be plucked from the waiver wire as a flier in standard leagues.

Granger will likely get the start at small forward Tuesday, the Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman reports.

Luol Deng is out with an injury, so Granger will get the start, but he should still be viewed as a low-end option in daily leagues, as there's very limited upside here, even if he approaches 30 minutes of playing time.

Granger returned to the bench Friday, scoring six points (3-3 FG) and adding two rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 13 minutes against the Pacers.

Even on an increased workload, Granger was only useful in very deep formats. He last scored double-digit points was in 2014. It's only been a couple years since Granger was discussed as a possible first round pick in some fantasy drafts, but he no longer maintains any of that value.

Granger started at small forward against the Hornets on Wednesday in place of Luol Deng (illness). The short-term starter played for 20 minutes and contributed just three points, one rebound, one steal, and one block.

Granger is a limited option even when he's inserted into the starting lineup. It's certainly possible that he'll continue to start for as long as Deng is sidelined, although that doesn't mean that he's worth the play in most leagues.

Granger will get the start Wednesday against the Hornets.

Luol Deng is out with an injury, which will allow for Granger to be more involved than he typically is. He could be a good source of three-point shooting, but his production in the other categories will be limited.

Granger scored three points (1-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), to go along with three assists, four rebounds, and a block in 31 minutes on Sunday.

Granger played big minutes, but didn't do much with them in his time on court. He had a three-game stretch of good production earlier, however he's prone to having disappointing nights like this. This, along with the fact that he's injury prone, make him a guy with little upside that only should be owned in the deepest of leagues.

Granger had a season-high 18 points (7-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) Saturday against the Grizzlies to go along with three rebounds in 28 minutes.

Granger played a season-high 28 minutes Saturday as he posted his best performance of the season. He has only played in 10 games this season and Saturday was the first time he's scored in double figures on the year. His sample size this year makes it difficult to tell whether Saturday was an aberration or a sign of things to come, and because of his injury history, he's not a safe bet for your lineup.

Granger didn't complete a full minute of action Friday against the Wizards, despite the fact that he was healthy and available, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Granger has played in just seven games all season. Luol Deng and James Ennis both played over Granger for the Heat, who are a relatively healthy team at this time outside of Chris Bosh's injury. It doesn't appear as if Granger has a solid enough role with the Heat to be a reliable fantasy option.

Granger (illness) participated in shootarouond and is expected to be available Friday.

Miami has been hit with a rough patch of injuries recently, and it's gotten to the point where they need all the healthy players they can get. He normally plays under 20 minutes per game, but because of those injuries Granger could potentially see a little increase in that playign time. Any increase he would see to his fantasy value would likely not be enough to warrant starting him in standard leagues though.

Granger (illness) sat out his second straight game on Wednesday.

Granger has held little value this season thus far. He is averaging only 17 minutes per game. He holds little value in standard leagues.
