Taj Gibson PF/C CHI 2 Days
Taj Gibson made just three of his 11 shots from the field on Sunday for seven points with 10 boards, four assists and two steals in 31 minutes.
He played the last 21 minutes of this game and leads the NBA in fourth-quarter minutes. Gibson's presence on both ends of the floor is a great fit for the Bulls and his three offensive boards tonight were a big part of the win. He's a must-own player in standard formats and is in the mix to win Sixth Man of the Year.
Taj Gibson PF/C CHI 5 Days
Taj Gibson scored 22 points against the Pistons on Wednesday with five boards and one steal in 31 minutes.
He shot 11-of-16 from the field and continues to outplay Carlos Boozer at power forward. Gibson is better in almost every aspect of the game, so there's really no need to focus on who starts for the Bulls. He's a must-own player and has quickly become one of the best big men off the bench in the NBA.
Taj Gibson PF/C CHI 9 Days
Taj Gibson finished Sunday's road victory with 13 points on 6-of-15 shooting, five rebounds, one assist and one block in 28 minutes.
The Bulls have now won four consecutive games and their 33-26 record moved them 1/2 game ahead of Toronto for third place in the East. Gibson has been a huge part of their success all season long, and he's made a strong case for the All-Defensive team and Sixth-Man of the Year honors.
Taj Gibson PF/C CHI 10 Days
Taj Gibson scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting (6-of-7 FTs) with 15 rebounds and a steal in Friday's win over the Mavs.
Gibson shouldn't be surprising folks with his offense anymore as the Bulls are more the willing to turn his way and often times in the clutch. He's performing at a top 80-90 clip over the last week or so and is a must-own player.
Taj Gibson PF/C CHI 16 Days
Taj Gibson scored 20 points with 10 boards during Sunday's loss to the Heat.
There are not many better bench big men than Gibson this year and he's the second best big on his entire team. Among players who have come off the bench for at least 40 games this season, Gibson ranks first in rebounds, first in blocks and eighth in points. He's in the mix for Sixth Man of the Year and should be owned in all standard leagues.
Taj Gibson PF/C CHI 19 Days
Taj Gibson will start at small forward for the Bulls on Wednesday night.
He has started at small forward before back in the Luol Deng days and he's really developed his offensive game enough to play at the three while he's also quick enough to play there on defense, too. Gibson is a nice property to own in all leagues and he's more likely to get even better than fall off. Mike Dunleavy will come off the bench.
Taj Gibson PF/C CHI 25 Days
Taj Gibson scored 16 points in 31 minutes against the Nets on Thursday to go with five boards, two assists and two blocks.
He continues to excel off the bench and has arguably become the Bulls' second-best player behind Joakim Noah. Gibson's numbers off the bench are noticeably worse than when he starts, but averages of 11.7 points, 6.1 boards, 1.4 blocks and 0.4 steals on 48.0 percent from the field in his previous 12 games off the bench are solid. He's a must-own player and is trending up in fantasy leagues.
Taj Gibson PF/C CHI 26 Days
Taj Gibson will likely come off the bench on Thursday with Carlos Boozer (calf) expected to return to the starting lineup.
Gibson has been terrific on both ends of the court and there's little doubt that he's outplaying Boozer, but for now coach Tom Thibodeau prefers to keep his usual rotations intact. Gibson will still get heavy minutes off the bench and deserves a spot in all active fantasy lineups.
Taj Gibson PF/C CHI 27 Days
Taj Gibson started for Carlos Boozer on Tuesday and had 24 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and a block on 12-of-19 shooting.
Boozer is out with a calf injury and is questionable for Thursday, meaning Gibson should be ready for another big game. Tom Thibodeau is hyping Gibson for Sixth Man, Most Improved, and All-Defensive Team honors, and given the nice season he's having, it's hard to argue with him.
