Steph Curry is showing exactly why he is the best point guard early on in the season. His efficiency from three is something fans don't even blink at anymore when they see the box score. Curry has always been a great distributor, but Steve Kerr's offense has him in multiple roles whether it be ball handling assignments or working away from the ball - and he excels at both. If Curry keeps this up, he could be poised for an MVP type of season.
Stephen Curry PG GS 8 Days
Curry scored 19 points with nine assists and just one turnover in Saturday night's win over Charlotte. He has just seven turnovers in the past three games after a three-game stretch in which he gave it up 20 times.
There's been a lot of good happening in Golden State's hot start to the season, but one problem emerging has been turnovers. The Warriors are last in the NBA with 19.7 per game and Curry leads the team with 4.0 per game.
Stephen Curry PG GS 12 Days
Curry scored 16 points (7-18 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), with six rebounds and five assists in 35 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Spurs.
Chalk it up to a night off for the young superstar. Curry is one of the more consistent shooters in the game, and just couldn't hit the bottom of the net from three-point land on Tuesday. Expect a bounce back game against the Nets on Thursday night.

The most impressive thing about this current run is the fact that Curry has continued production in the steals category. He did have an alarming 10 turnovers against the Suns, but that is more of an anomaly than the norm. As if his offensive production wasn't enough to make him to make him an MVP candidate early on this season, his defensive mindset is really set him apart from the pack.

Curry and his Warriors knocked the Rockets from the ranks of the undefeated Saturday, dropping 34 points (13-19 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals in 40 minutes.
The 34 points were a career high and the 10 rebounds marked the second time this season the point guard has had double-digit boards. Curry has also had multiple steals in four of the five games this season and is shooting a superb 50 percent from the field. He is staking a claim as fantasy basketball's number one player in the early going this season.

Curry scored a game high 28 points to go along with seven assists, six rebounds, four 3-pointers and a steal in 34 minutes on Wednesday. The Warriors are now off to their best start, and Curry has been a big part of it by taking his game even further.
Curry has started this season on a torrid pace. He is currently averaging 26 points, seven assists, three steals and just over two 3-pointers in almost 34 minutes of play through four games. Much has been made about Curry's focus on defense over the offseason, however having a structured offense has increased his efficiency as well. All signs are pointing up for Curry and the Warriors going forward this season.
Stephen Curry PG GS 25 Days
Curry scored a game-high 24 points (7-of-17 FG, 2-of-9 3Pt, 8-of-9 FT) with 10 rebounds, five assists and six steals in Wednesday night's win over the Kings.
The Warriors new movement offense, designed to have the ball being passed a lot, may work to reduce Curry's assist numbers in the long run. The ball won't be in his hands as often as it was in seasons past. Additionally, once Shaun Livingston (toe, four minutes) is at full health, we'll see more of Curry off the ball.

Curry (rest) won't play in Sunday's preseason game against the Rockets, The San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The Warriors want to keep Curry fresh heading into the start of the regular season, so giving him rest Sunday isn't alarming. Curry's career continues to trend upward and he should be taken in the first round of virtually every league with standard scoring.

Curry scored a game-high 25 points (8-of-11 FG, 4-of-7 3Pt, 5-of-5 FT) with six rebounds, six assists, three steals and a blocked shot in Sunday night's preseason win over the Lakers.
After a relatively quiet opener to the preseason, Curry has poured in 45 points while hitting 7-of-11 from three-point range in two wins over the Lakers. In three preseason games, he's made 21 trips to the free-throw line. If Curry were to average seven free-throw attempts per game, he would be among the league leaders in that category.
Stephen Curry PG GS 2 Months
Curry fouled out after only 18 minutes in Tuesday night's preseason opener against the Clippers. He scored 12 points on 2-of-7 shooting with three assists and three turnovers.
As we were told during training camp, Curry was going to get a chance to handle tougher defensive assignments and that happened Tuesday when he was charged with guarding the Clippers Chris Paul. That's an assignment that would have been Klay Thompson's responsibility last season.
