Jefferson was earlier reported to have reached an agreement to return to the Dallas Mavericks, but will instead sign with the reigning Eastern Conference champions for the veteran's minimum.

Jefferson will sign a one-year, minimum deal with the Mavericks, Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports.

The veteran will re-up with the Mavericks on a veteran's minimum deal after appearing in 74 games last season. The 35-year-old averaged 5.8 points and 16.8 minutes, and he'll likely see a similar role this season as a swingman off the bench. Despite solid shooting percentages (44% FG, 43% 3Pt), Jefferson is not relevant in most fantasy leagues.

Jefferson sat out of Tuesday's loss to the Rockets after suffering through back spasms earlier that day, ESPN reports.

Jefferson was limited with a calf injury earlier in the series, but it was back spasms that ended up keeping him out of this game. With the Mavericks being eliminated from the playoffs, he'll now have the offseason to get back to 100 percent. Jefferson is an unrestricted free agent, so we'll have to wait and see if he decides to re-sign with the Mavericks or take his talents to another championship contending team.

Jefferson (calf) posted five points in 12 minutes of action in Game 4 against the Rockets.

Jefferson is averaging just 3.8 points during the series so far, and he's limited to a bench role for the Mavericks. He can hit the occasional three-pointer when given the opportunity, but his minutes are too limited for him to score in double-digits on a normal basis.

Jefferson (calf) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against the Rockets, Earl Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

While Jefferson and Raymond Felton (hamstring) are both playing, J.J. Barea and Al-Farouq Aminu will be in the starting lineup, according to Earl Sneed of Mavs.com. Jefferson and Felton still figure to have significant roles in the rotation for what may be the Mavs' final game this season.

Jefferson is a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Rockets, Earl Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Given that Rick Carlisle was willing to say Raymond Felton was likely to play, but not Jefferson, there could be some decent doubt that the forward is close enough to 100 percent to be effective. Al-Farouq Aminu would see highly increased minutes if Jefferson is limited.

Jefferson (calf) is listed as questionable for Game 4 against the Rockets on Sunday, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Jefferson injured his right calf Friday in Game 3 and is on tap to receive treatment sometime before Sunday's game. His availability will hang in the balance while Al-Farouq Aminu is in line to see added minutes if the injured veteran is deemed unfit to play.

Jefferson suffered a calf injury during Friday's Game 3 against the Rockets, the Star-Telegram reports.

Jefferson played just 12 minutes as a result of the injury and should be considered day-to-day ahead of Game 4 on Sunday. If he's unable to play, expect Al-Farouq Aminu to jump into the starting lineup at small forward.

Jefferson will start in Friday's Game 3 against the Rockets, Bobby Karalla of Mavs.com reports.

Jefferson has assumed the role of starting small forward with Chandler Parsons (knee) done for the rest of the season and it appears that the veteran will retain that accolade for the duration of his team's stay in the playoffs. However, the 34-year-old only averaged 13.5 minutes on the court over the first two games against Houston, while fellow small forward Al-Farouq Aminu averaged 21.0 over the same time span.

Jefferson will likely continue to start in place of Chandler Parsons (knee), who will miss the rest of the postseason.

With Parsons ruled out and potentially headed for surgery, Jefferson figures to remain in the starting lineup for Friday's Game 3 in Dallas. He got the start Tuesday, putting up seven points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 23 minutes. Al-Farouq Aminu was in the game for much of the second half, and he also figures to see an increased role in Parsons' absence.
