Rondo agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract with the Kings on Friday, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports.

Rondo will join Darren Collison in the Kings' frontcourt, and the two will reportedly play together. The addition should give the Kings a formidable starting five heading into 2015, but gelling could be the biggest hurdle as multiple players will need to take on different roles.

Rondo ended the season averaging 8.9 points and 7.9 assists per game, splitting time with Boston and Dallas. While his scoring improved with the Mavs, his assist numbers dropped off as he never meshed with his new Dallas teammates.

Rondo's productivity has steadily declined since the All-Star guard tore his ACL during the 2012-13 season and isn't quite the fantasy asset he was earlier in his career. After a disastrous end to his time in Dallas, Rondo will enter free agency looking for a new team.

Rondo (back) is not expected to return during the playoffs, Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports.

When asked Wednesady whether he believes Rondo will ever wear a Mavericks uniform again, coach Rick Carlisle replied, "No, I don't." It's a pretty frank assessment from Carlisle, who has not seen eye-to-eye with the mercurial point guard this season. Carlisle added that Rondo hurt his back while trying to take a charge on James Harden in the first half of Tuesday's Game 2. Rondo will continue to seek medical opinions and will remain away from the team. Set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer, Rondo will almost certainly be in another uniform in 2015-16.

Rondo (back) has been ruled out indefinitely, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.

Rondo had somewhat of a bizarre performance in Tuesday's Game 2 loss, committing four fouls and some uncharacteristic turnovers in only 10 minutes. He was seen with a heating pad on his back during the second half, but this is the first we're hearing of an injury that could threaten his status for Game 3. Until further notice, Rondo should be considered questionable, though it seems unlikely he plays Friday, due to both the injury and his ineffectiveness.

Rondo was a non-factor in Tuesday's loss to Houston, registering just four points in 10 minutes.

Rondo picked up a technical foul and four fouls overall in his ten minutes on the floor and sat out for most of the second half. This isn't the first time Rondo has been benched by coach Rick Carlisle since coming to Dallas and was actually suspended for a regular season game for a spat during the Mavericks' game on Feb. 25. While it's unlikely that Rondo will get suspended for a playoff game, his value in daily formats is taking a downturn.

Rondo will look to improve on his Game 1 performance Tuesday against the Rockets. He scored 15 points and added five assists in the loss.

Rondo finished 7-of-16 from the field but finished with a team-low -25 +/-. He will have to play better if Dallas wants to return home with a 1-1 series split.

Rondo scored nine points (4-7 FG, 1-2 FT) in a win over the Blazers. He added a team-high seven assists to go with two steals and two rebounds.

Rondo has shown signs of life down the stretch and the Mavericks will need him to continue to improve if they want a chance at upsetting the Rockets in the postseason.

Rondo played 32 minutes Monday in a loss to the Jazz. He finished with 13 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five assists, and four rebounds.

Rondo was the only regular Mavericks starter to play in the game with Chandler Parsons, Tyson Chandler, Dirk Nowitzki, and Monta Ellis all ending up on the inactive list.
