Asik exited Monday's Game 2 against the Warriors to receive stitches on his neck but has returned to start the second half, sideline reporter Jennifer Hale reports.

The laceration on Asik's neck obviously won't be much of concern moving forward since he managed to get back on the court after a few minutes of time spent in the locker room. Barring an unforeseen issue with his stitches, he's expected to perform his normal role in the second half of Game 2.

Asik had six points (3-5 FG), six rebounds, two assists, one steal and four turnovers in 26 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday.

He averages 26 minutes per game this season, so him playing exactly 26 in his return is a good sign. He's not a stat stuffer and should be left on the wire, except for deeper leagues.

Asik (calf) said he'll play in Wednesday's game against the Rockets, the New Orleans Advocate's Darrell J. Williams reports.

He has missed the last two games with a calf strain, but his imposing presence will be back for the Pelicans as every game must feel like a must-win scenario for them at this point. They are three and a half games out of the final spot in the Western Conference playoffs with just 12 games to play, and if they are eliminated, we might see a lot of the Pelicans who have been playing through injuries get some rest.

Asik (calf) is officially listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Rockets.

Asik returned to practice Tuesday but he'll need to get through Wednesday's morning shootaround before he's allowed to take the court against the Rockets. In the event that he's not given the green light, Alexis Ajinca could see added playing time.

Asik (calf) practiced Tuesday, John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Asik missed the last two games with a strained calf, but he seems like a decent bet to return for Wednesday's game against the Rockets. With their chances to earn a playoff spot starting to slip away, the Pelicans are in no position to take a cautious approach. If Asik returns, Alexis Ajinca may see his minutes fall back into the teens.

Asik (calf) is listed as day-to-day in advance of Wednesday's game versus the Rockets, the New Orleans Times Picayune reports.

Absent two consecutive contests due to a right calf strain, Asik is seemingly in limbo heading into Wednesday. If he fails to receive clearance to play, he'll likely yield the start at center to Alexis Ajinca.

Asik (calf) will not take the court for Sunday's game against the Clippers, Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com reports.

Asik should be considered day-to-day moving forward as this will be the second-straight game that he misses with a calf strain. The Pelicans play the Rockets on Wednesday and the 28-year-old will almost certainly be another game-time decision.

Asik (calf) is questionable for Sundays game against the Clippers.

Asik suffered the calf injury Thursday, and was forced to miss Friday's game because of it. If he's not able to go Sunday, look for teammate Alexis Ajinca to start and get significant playing time.

Asik (calf) will miss Friday's game with a strained calf, John Reid of the Times-Picayune reports.

Asik was forced from Thursday's game after suffering the calf injury and did not return. His absence leaves New Orleans very thin up front with Anthony Davis also missing Friday's game. With Asik out, Alexis Ajinca should move into the starting lineup.
