Pekovic (Achilles) was limited to only 31 games in 2014-15 due to recurring injuries. in 26.3 minutes, Pekovic averaged 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and shot just 42.4 percent from the field.

Injuries have been an issue since Pekovic entered the league in 2010, and he's yet to play more than 65 games in a single season. After missing 28 games last season, he missed 51 in 2014-15, due in large part to an ankle/Achilles injury that nagged him for several months. While rehabbing a wrist injury in November, Pekovic aggravated the ankle injury and would go on to miss two months before returning to the court in late-January. He played about a month-and-a-half before again aggravating the ankle injury against Phoenix on Mar. 11. It would prove to be Pekovic's final game of the season, and he was officially shut down on Mar. 30. About a week later, Pekovic underwent surgery on the ankle/Achilles, a procedure that is expected to entail a 5-to-6 month recovery period. That timetable puts him on track to be ready for the start of training camp, though it's certainly not a guarantee that he'll heal as quickly as expected. Given Pekovic's injury history and liability as a defender, the rebuilding Wolves would likely jump at the opportunity to move the center, especially with Gorgui Dieng coming off of a promising second season. However, Pekovic signed a five-year, $60 million deal in the summer of 2013 that now looks to be one of the most immovable contracts in the NBA. He'll remain under contract for $12.1 million in 2015-16.

Pekovic (Achilles) will spend 5-6 months rehabbing the Achilles injury he had surgically repaired last Wednesday, the StarTribune reports.

Pekovic underwent a debridement and repair of his right Achilles to try and get his ankle and lower leg healthy going into next season. Over the last two seasons, he's played in just 85 of a possible 164 games. His 5-6 month rehab timeline should put him in place to kick off training camp with the Timberwolves, but if there are any setbacks, it's possible Pekovic could be limited entering the season.

Pekovic (Achilles) underwent successful debridement and repair of his right Achilles on Wednesday.

Pekovic was shut down for the season more than a week ago, and the team hopes the procedure will prevent any future issues in the ankle area that's bothered him for parts of the past two seasons. The Wolves have not offered a return timeline, stating only that the center will be sidelined "indefinitely."

Pekovic (Achilles) will undergo a debridement and repair of his right Achilles next week.

Pekovic battled discomfort and soreness in his Achilles/ankle for most of the second half of the season, and he was officially shut down earlier in the week. He'll undergo a second procedure on the ankle area after having plasma cells injected into the ankle last summer. The Wolves stated that they will offer an update when appropriate, so at this point it's too early to speculate on a recovery timeline.

Pekovic (ankle) will not play again this season, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Pekovic's season will come to a close with the big man having played just 31 games. While that mark serves a career-low even for the oft-injured Pekovic, his production of 12.7 points and 7.5 rebounds this season also represents a significant drop-off from the 29-year-old. With Pekovic sidelined, Gorgui Dieng could see more playing time once he returns from his concussion, with Justin Hamilton being an option for the Timberwolves at center in the interim.

Pekovic (ankle) is is out for Wednesday's game against the Lakers.

Pekovic, Ricky Rubio (ankle) and Kevin Garnett (knee) all missed Wednesday's game against the Jazz, despite being listed as questionable. All three have been downgraded for Wednesday's game, though Pekovic is the only one to officially be ruled out. Gorgui Dieng logged 45 minutes in Monday's overtime win, and he remains a candidate to reach 40 minutes anytime Pekovic cannot play.
