Beasley's option will not be picked up, thus he'll become an unrestricted free agent, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Beasley played in just 24 games last season with the Heat, finishing with averages of 8.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 21 minutes per game. With the Heat opting not to pick up his team option, he'll now await the start of free agency, which begins July 1. He should see some interest on the open market, but he'll likely remain limited in his future potential fantasy value no matter his eventual destination.

Beasley was signed to two 10-day contracts with the Heat before signing with the team in March for the remainder of the season. In all, he played 24 games for Miami and posted averages of 8.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 21 minutes per game.

Beasley has no contract in place for the 2015-16 season and he will be able to do no more than play the waiting game to see if he will land on an NBA team next season. Beasley never played a significant role with the Heat this season, as he was signed to add depth to their rotation, especially after Chris Bosh was ruled out for the remainder of the season. With this in mind, there is a very good chance that if the Heat decide to pass on Beasley, then the rest of the NBA will too. Beasley did take advantage of the final game of the regular season where he played all 48 minutes and scored 34 points on 12-of-27 shooting to go along with 11 rebounds and eight assists. Those were all season-highs for Beasley and was essentially his only truly fantasy-relevant game of the regular season. However, seeing as though Miami only played six players in that final game, Beasley's stat line should be taken with a grain of salt, and his relevance for next season will depend entirely on where he lands.

Beasley went off for 34 points (12-27 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 10-11 FT) during Wednesday's victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, while also adding 11 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocked shots in 48 minutes.

Beasley didn't even come off the court once Wednesday, as the Heat only ended up playing six players the whole game. It was clearly the most production he's had this season, as the point, rebound and assist totals were all season-highs for the forward. Without a contract in place for next season, Beasley will now play the waiting game for where he ends up next.

Beasley (illness) returned to the lineup Thursday in a loss to the Bulls. He came off the bench and recorded 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and a block in 19 minutes.

Beasley has missed two of past four games with an illness and a hyperextended knee, but both issues seem to be cleared up now. In his past 10 game, he's averaging just 6.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists.

Beasley (knee) won't play Tuesday against the Hornets, the Associated Press reports.

Beasley entered this game with doubtful availability due to a hyperextended left knee, but an illness is being blamed from his imminent DNP. Expect Henry Walker to handle the bulk of the run as the Heat's backup forward to Luol Deng (knee) and Udonis Haslem.

Beasley (knee) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game versus the Hornets, the Palm Beach Post reports.

On Monday, Beasley was expected to undergo an MRI, which may have revealed a more serious injury than the hyperextended left knee sustained Sunday. He seems unlikely to suit up Tuesday, and until a prognosis is known, his return to the court could be delayed.

Beasley will undergo a MRI on his left knee Monday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Beasley hyperextended his knee in the fourth quarter Sunday's game against the Pacers, causing him to sit the remainder of the contest. His status moving forward is a bit unclear, but Monday's MRI should provide a little more clarity.
