Morris doesn't plan on missing any time over legal issues stemming from a January incident, nor does the Pistons' organization, Brendan Savage of MLive Media Group reports.

Morris and his brother, the Suns' Markieff Morris, were charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault in April and are scheduled to appear in court on August 3rd. Should the league hand down a suspension of any length, rookie Stanley Johnson could be in line for a significant minute boost because coach Stan Van Gundy has already tapped Morris as his starting small forward.

Morris will start at small forward for the Pistons in 2015-16, MLive.com reports.

Morris, who arrived in Detroit with Reggie Bullock and Danny Granger via trade from Phoenix, will serve as the defacto mentor for 2015 first-round pick Stanley Johnson off the bat. In 35 nods with the Suns last season, Morris averaged 10.9 points (on 41 percent shooting), 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 three-pointers, and 0.7 steals in 29 minutes.

Marcus Morris was traded from the Suns to the Pistons on Thursday, Yahoo! Sports reports. Reggie Bullock and Danny Granger were also sent to the Pistons, and the Suns received a second-round pick and cap space in return.

Morris could see a big jump in fantasy value as a result of this trade if he steps into the Pistons' starting small forward spot. They currently have rookie Stanley Johnson slotted in at small forward, but for a team looking to make the playoffs next season, it was important for coach/president Stan Van Gundy to find more veteran depth at small forward. In 35 games as a starter for the Suns last season, Morris averaged 10.9 points, 1.4 three-pointers, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 29 minutes per game while shooting 41 percent from the field, 32 percent from beyond the arc, and 63 percent from the free-throw line.

Morris averaged 10.4 points (43% FG, 36% 3Pt, 63% FT), 1.4 three-pointers, 1.6 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 0.8 steals in 25 minutes per game for 81 regular season games in 2014-15.

While not as productive as his brother, Marcus is a far better three-point shooter, and overall had a respectable 2014-15 season. However, playing behind P.J. Tucker in the Suns' lineup limits him from a fantasy standpoint. Owners should keep an eye on his offseason situation, as he and his brother Markieff are in the midst of an aggravated assault charge. If the court finds the Morris brothers guilty, then both could face suspensions, which would certainly impact their respective fantasy values for 2015-16.

Morris and his twin brother have both been charged with felony aggravated assault stemming from an incident at a Phoenix recreation center in January, ESPN reports.

The twins, along with three other men, allegedly assaulted a 36-year-old man who had apparently sent "inappropriate text messages" to the Morris' mother. At this point, it's too early to speculate what may become of this situation, but the brothers' first court date is scheduled for May 7, at which point more information should be available.

Morris has the flu and will not play in Tuesday's game, ArizonaSports.com's Craig Grialou reports.

The Suns are pretty banged up right now, and with Morris out, his brother, Markieff, should see all the run he can handle, while T.J. Warren and Earl Barron also see more run than usual. Unlike most teams, the Suns' final game of the season is Tuesday, so this means Morris has played his last game of 2015.

Morris grabbed a double-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 44 minutes of action Friday against the Blazers.

Morris is now averaging 13.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.8 three-pointers made over the last five games. He's never been known to be a rebounder, but his performance of late is certainly drawing attention. He may not be the better of the two brothers, but Marcus is certainly producing enough to be owned in standard leagues at this point.

Morris filled the box score in Sunday's win over the Mavericks. In 36 minutes, he had 11 points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

Despite shooting 1-for-11 from the floor March 19, Morris has been on a hot streak as of late. He got off to a slow start in March, but has 11 or more points in four of his past five games and now has double-digit rebounds in three straight appearances.

Morris started again on Friday with Brandon Knight (ankle) out. He finished the game with 18 points (7-18 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and two assists.

With Knight out, P.J. Tucker slid over to shooting guard and Morris was able to start at small forward. He's a tough player to own, though, given how inconsistent he's been. Prior to Friday's game, he had three straight games with eight or fewer points and he's shooting just 29.4 percent from the floor in March.

Morris started at small forward and P.J. Tucker moved to shooting guard with Brandan Knight out with a sprained ankle. Morris scored eight points (3-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt) with nine rebounds, five assists and one block in 30 minutes against the Timberwolves.

Morris has been inconsistent all season, making him a difficult player to own, even in 12 team leagues.
