Gasol will not participate in EuroBasket this summer for the Spanish National team, FIBA.com reports.

Gasol plans to skip the proceedings that last most of September in Berlin. The time off will allow the center quality time with his family while his body heals. His first priority resides with the Grizzlies after signing such a lucrative five-year deal. He's been competing with the national team for the past 14 years and will likely return next summer.

Gasol has agreed to a $100 million contract with Memphis over the next five years, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Gasol was expected to remain with Memphis and the only thing left to be unveiled was the terms of his contract. With a new deal in hand, Gasol will be in store for a similar situation as last season playing alongside Zach Randolph in the frontcourt, a season that produced 17.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.6 blocks after 81 regular-season appearances from the Spaniard.

Gasol is expected to remain in Memphis although he's still working out the details of his new contract, David Aldridge of NBA.com reports.

Gasol spent his first seven seasons in the NBA with the Grizzlies and it appears that he'll stay loyal to the only fan base he's ever known. He's coming off arguably the best statistical campaign of his career, compiling averages of 17.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.6 blocks after 81 appearances where he played 33 minutes per game. Assuming a deal will indeed get finalized, the Spaniard is in line for a similar season as he continues to play alongside Zach Randolph in the Memphis frontcourt.

Gasol had the best season of his NBA career, averaging 17.4 points (49.4 FG, 17.6 3Pt, 79.5 FT), 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.6 blocks in 33 minutes per game during 81 regular season games.

In 11 postseason games Gasol averaged 19.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.7 blocks. After dealing with a knee injury in 2013-14, the 30-year-old center slimmed down considerably during the offseason. He attempted a career-high in field goal attempts per game for the second straight season, hoisting 13.2 per game. Though it only amounted to 1.1 more attempts per game than 2013-14, it resulted in 2.8 more points per game. He also averaged a career-high 5.4 free throw attempts per game. Gasol is an unrestricted free agent this summer who will have plenty of suitors, but regardless of where he winds up he'll likely continue to be among the most well-rounded contributors in fantasy.

Gasol posted a strong line in Game 6 against the Warriors, putting up 21 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and five blocks in 44 minutes of action, but it wasn't enough to give the Grizzlies a win.

Gasol struggled from the field--going just 7-for-23 for the night. However, this didn't stop him from putting up a strong performance. Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, he'll head into the offseason earlier than hoped.

Gasol stuffed the stat sheet in Game 5's loss to the Warriors, posting 18 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block in 36 minutes of action.

Gasol has been carrying the Grizzlies this series, and it's unfortunate his strong performance in Game 5 wasn't enough to help get the win. Look for him to continue to play well to avoid elimination in Game 6.

Gasol grabbed a double-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block in 38 minutes of action in Game 4's loss to the Warriors.

Gasol had a strong performance, but it wasn't enough to help the Grizzlies win Game 4. Now with the series tied up at 2-2, look for Gasol to come up big in Game 5.

Gasol led the Grizzlies to a key victory in Game 3, scoring 21 points (6-17 FG, 9-10 FT) with 15 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 36 minutes.

This was just Gasol's third double-double in these playoffs, but one of the more important one, getting the Grizzlies the key 2-1 lead in the series with the Warriors. He has also failed to block a shot in this series, but given his form in the first round, where he averaged 2.4 blocks, you have to think the blocks are coming. He is still a great all-around fantasy producer, but depending on your playoff fantasy format, there may be better options around.

Gasol posted 15 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 31 minutes of action in Game 2 against the Warriors.

Gasol had been averaging 19.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game in the postseason heading into Game 2, and Tuesday's performance was a rather sub-par game for the center, who has been excellent thus far. Still, the Grizzlies were able to notch up a win, which is a good sign. Look for Gasol to bounce back at home in Game 3.

Gasol scored 26 points (9-15 FG, 8-10 FT) with 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 38 minutes during Wednesday's Game 5 victory against the Trailblazers.

Gasol was a beast all series and dominated Robin Lopez. He will need to continue his strong form as the Grizzlies now take on the Warriors in the next round.
