Freeland signed a guaranteed contract with CSKA Moscow on Thursday, Sportando reports. After his previous employer, the Blazers, didn't extend a qualifying offer to Freeland, he stated his intention to return to Europe if no NBA offer came his way by the end of the free-agent moratorium. Lo and behold, he followed such a path and thus ends this portion of his career in the United States. In Portland, he never logged more than 52 games in any of his three seasons, whether it was due to injury or an inability to hold down a spot in the frontcourt. Overall, the British big man averaged 3.2 points (on 46 percent shooting) and 3.4 rebounds in 12 minutes.

Freeland is an unrestricted free agent after Portland declined his qualifying offer, Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders reports. Portland has decided to keep Chris Kaman on board and have also acquired Mason Plumlee via trade, and with both those moves, it makes sense that they may be letting Freeland sign elsewhere. With Kaman, Plumlee the emerging Meyers Leonard and anyone else the team decides to sign in free agency, Portland must feel pretty comfortable with their frontcourt depth at the moment. Freeland has shown he can be a solid frontcourt contributor, especially with his ability to stretch the floor, so it's very likely he is able to find a home this offseason.

Freeland, who is a restricted free agent this offseason, doesn't expect to receive a qualifying offer from the Blazers, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. If such a scenario comes to fruition, Freeland would enter the land of unrestricted free agency this summer, but it won't necessarily mean the Blazers lack interest in the big man. In reality, with five players under contract, including only two starters (Damian Lillard and Nicolas Batum), the team is likely keeping its options open, one of which is a team option on center Chris Kaman. If Kaman's services are retained, the writing could be on the wall for Freeland's time in Portland, but Meyers Leonard's emergence in the second half of this past season may make the upcoming decision on the Englishman an easy one.

Freeland, who is an restricted free agent this offseason, averaged 3.5 points (on 49 percent shooting) and 4.0 rebounds in 13 minutes during the 2014-15 campaign. Freeland opened the season as a regular in the frontcourt rotation, but his workload ramped up after Robin Lopez suffered a broken hand on Dec. 15. In the Blazers' first game without Lopez, Freeland came off the bench but soon enjoyed an eight-game cameo in the starting five, averaging 5.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 0.8 assists in 22 minutes. The run came to a halt when Freeland sustained a strained right shoulder, which, compounded with a slightly torn right rotator cuff, extended his recovery timetable from two weeks to one and a half months. Upon his return on Mar. 1, he was used sparingly, logging double-digit minutes nine times, versus eight DNPs, in the last 25 contests of the regular season. His upcoming test of the free-agent market allows the Blazers to match any offer the Englishman receives. However, the organization could reveal its hand when the decision is made, one way or the other, on Chris Kaman's team option.

Freeland tallied 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two steals, and one block in 23 minutes during Wednesday's season finale at Dallas. The Blazers were short-handed throughout their four-game losing streak to conclude the regular season, and Freeland profited with additional work in the final three contests. During that stretch, he far exceeded his typical output, averaging 10 points (on 62 percent shooting), five rebounds, one block, and 0.7 steals in 20 minutes. If Chris Kaman remains afflicted by a lower-back injury in the playoffs, Freeland can expect to uphold his recent standard, at least in terms of his workload.

Freeland (suspension) was available to play Monday, but ultimately logged a DNP-CD against the Wizards. Freeland has played in just four games in all of February and March, and it's pretty clear that he doesn't hold much fantasy value this season. As long as Robin Lopez remains healthy, Freeland can be ignored in virtually all leagues.

Freeland has been suspended one game for his tussle with Shawne Williams during Friday's win against the Pistons, Yahoo! Sports reports. Both parties were ejected after butting heads with more than a minute remaining in the game. In his three minutes of court time, Freeland failed to contribute to the box score, which has been commonplace since he returned on Mar. 1 from two months on the sideline due to a strained right shoulder.

Freeland (shoulder) logged 2 minutes of action in his return Sunday against the Kings. He didn't contribute any counting stats. Freeland had missed nearly two months of action, and his return didn't spark any excitement in fantasyland. He's averaging just 3.5 points and 4.5 rebounds this season, and is playing behind Robin Lopez in the rotation. In other words, he'll be a non-factor in all but the deepest leagues while Lopez is healthy.

Freeland (shoulder) will be available off the bench against the Kings on Sunday, digital report Casey Holdahl reports. Freeland has been off the court since Jan. 3 with a shoulder injury. Despite his new availability, Freeland is only averaging 13.5 minutes this season and isn't expected to have a large role even when healthy.

Freeland (shoulder) has been officially ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Spurs. Freeland hasn't appeared in a game since Jan. 3 with a shoulder strain. He's averaging just 3.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game this season, and should remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.
