Barea (ankle) will not play Sunday against the Pacers, Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star Telegram reports.

Barea still has some soreness on his inner left sprained ankle, which is limiting his ability to cut. He'll sit out for the fourth straight game but said he hopes to return in the near future. Following Sunday, the Mavs are off until Wednesday.

Barea (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Pacers.

Barea said earlier in the week that he hopes to return Sunday, but it remains to be seen if he will be able to play. Monta Ellis (calf) is doubtful, so if Ellis is out, Barea could become useful in daily leagues and as a stream option.

Barea (ankle) will be held out again Friday against San Antonio, Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Barea (ankle) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Spurs.

Barea missed Sunday's game versus the Suns due to an ankle injury, and although the ailment is not believed to be serious, Tuesday's game will be too soon for Barea to return. As a result of Barea's injury and teammate Devin Harris' illness, fellow point guard Raymond Felton may be thrown into the Mavs' rotation for Tuesday's contest.

Barea's left ankle injury is not believed to be serious, but the Mavericks do not have a timetable for his return, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Barea has already been ruled out for Sunday's game in Phoenix, and he will likely be no better than questionable for Tuesday's game against the Spurs. His absence will leave more minutes for some combination of Devin Harris, Rajon Rondo and Raymond Felton.

Barea struggled with his shot Friday, connecting on just 1-of-8 shot attempts. He finished with six points and one turnover in the loss.

Barea has scored in double-figures just once in the last five games and it's hard to employ him in most formats with Rajon Rondo and Devin Harris ahead of him on the depth chart.

Barea (illness) posted four points, two assists, and two steals in 16 minutes of action Wednesday against the Magic.

Barea was considered questionable to play Wednesday, so it's a good thing he was able to make it to the court. Still, with both Rajon Rondo and Devin Harris ahead of him in the rotation, it will be hard to own him in most leagues.

Barea missed Tuesday's practice due to a fever, but his presence at shootaround would seem to indicate that he has a good chance to play Wednesday against Orlando. Look for more definitive confirmation from the team Wednesday evening.
