Paul (thumb) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Warriors, Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paul was medically cleared Wednesday by team doctors to play again, but it looks as if the Clippers will err on the side of caution with their superstar point guard Thursday as he continues to recover from surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb. However, even with Paul being held out Thursday, it looks as if his return is imminent, and the point guard could now return to the floor as soon as Friday's home game against the Spurs. Austin Rivers will once again start and play heavy minutes at point guard in Paul's absence, with Jamal Crawford and Raymond Felton filling in as primary ball-handlers off the bench.
