Kyrie Irving's status for Monday's game against the Knicks will be determined by how much he participates in Sunday's practice.
Irving didn't participate Saturday in what the Plain Dealer categorized as an informal workout rather than a practice. Coach Byron Scott made it clear before Friday's game that he will not rush Irving back simply because the knee is "better," saying that it's important Irving is 100 percent before he plays. Scott also has an informal "practice rule," which requires any player that misses time to participate in a full practice before returning to game action. Check back Sunday afternoon for an update.
