Dwight Howard (shoulder) said he felt pain "a couple times" on Thursday, but "just tried not to think about it."
Howard looked lethargic, worn down and disinterested on his way to nine points, nine rebounds and no blocks in 28 minutes before fouling out. He's fully expected to suit up again on Friday and should find the sailing much smoother against the Bobcats' woeful frontcourt. The bigger concern for owners is the high possibility of aggravation and potential shutdown when/if the Lakers really fall out of the playoff race. They are currently in the No. 10 seed, 3.5 games behind the eight-seeded Rockets.
