Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward appears to be fully recovered from last season's Achilles tendon injury, according to the Indianapolis Star. Hayward underwent heel surgery in May and has begun playing pickup games in Indianapolis, alleviating concerns about any lingering issues in his leg.

Hayward underwent minor surgery on his right heel last week to prevent further inflammation.

Hayward was shut down for the final two games of the regular season due to the inflammation, but the procedure should fix the issue. Assuming all goes as planned he's expected to resume all basketball activities early in the summer.

Hayward (Achilles) finished up his fifth season in the league averaging 19.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks over 76 games.

Hayward ended the season with swelling in his Achilles but the injury is not a concern for him moving forward this offseason. The biggest issue for Hayward coming into the 2014-15 season was his poor shooting from the field since he finished at just 41.3 percent last year, the worst total of his career. That was addressed under new coach Quin Snyder this season, however, as the former Butler standout shot 44.5 percent on 34.4 minutes per game. Hayward's most admirable attribute is that he contributes in all categories which should carry over into next season as he prepares for another campaign as Utah's premiere offensive weapon. His value will remain pretty much the same at this stage in his career, making him a viable option in the fourth and fifth rounds of standard preseason drafts.

Hayward (Achilles) will not play Monday, nor will he play Wednesday in the season finale, Jody Gennesy of the Deseret News reports.

Hayward is dealing with swelling in his Achilles, and with the Jazz well out of contention, the team won't take any risks over the last few days of the season.

Hayward is suffering from Achilles inflammation and is officially questionable for Monday's game against the Mavericks.

Hayward sat out Saturday's game for what appeared to be just a regular day of rest, but it appears it may have been related to the Achilles issue. The injury may force him out of Monday's game as well, as the team will likely be cautious with him to prevent further injury.

Hayward (rest) will not play in Saturday's game, the Salt Lake Tribune's Aaron Falk reports.

The Jazz said they would give Hayward some rest down the stretch, and they are also resting Derrick Favors on Saturday. Look for Joe Ingles and Rodney Hood to see the bulk of the minutes on the wing Saturday.

Hayward will see extra rest down the stretch, but the Jazz will not shut him down, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Hayward, who ranks 10th in the league in miles traveled during games this season (178), per NBA.com/stats, admitted that he's "definitely a little banged up" as the season comes to a close. Hayward was given some extra rest against the Kings on Sunday, sitting out most of the second half and finishing 2-of-11 from the floor in 20 minutes. In Wednesday's rematch with the Kings in Salt Lake City, Hayward was again limited to 20 minutes, a trend coach Quin Snyder said will likely continue. "It makes sense to be conscious of your guys' health," Snyder said. "The last thing you want to do is have an injury the last week, where somebody goes into the offseason having to rehabilitate something as opposed to make progress. So it's something we're going to keep in mind." Utah, which has long been eliminated from playoff contention, hosts the Grizzlies on Friday and finishes out the season with matchups against Portland (Saturday), Dallas (Monday) and Houston (Wednesday).

Hayward scored four points (1-3 FG, 2-2 FT) with two rebounds and one assist in just 20 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Kings.

Hayward sat on the bench the entire fourth quarter and there is no injury to speak of. Jazz coach, Quin Snyder, went with his bench as this game was pretty much under control. Hayward only played 20 minutes in the previous game as well, so owners will desperately hope this is not a trend in the final few games.

Hayward scored 22 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT) with six rebounds, five assists and four steals in 34 minutes during Monday's win over the Timberwolves.

After missing two games due to an AC sprain, Hayward is now averaging an impressive 21.0 points, 6.0 boards, 4.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.0 threes over the last three games. He's set himself up to be a very early pick in next year's fantasy drafts.

Hayward (collarbone) posted 24 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 32 minutes of action Friday against the Nuggets.

Hayward is returning from a two-game absence, and it's encouraging to see him play solid in his return. He's been excellent this season, averaging 19.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, and should continue to produce well as long as he's healthy.
