Rose played in 51 games for the Bulls this season and averaged 17.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.5 three-pointers a game.

The sky almost fell on Rose and the Bulls again this season when he had to have yet another knee surgery, but he was able to make it back for the playoffs and stay healthy as the Bulls were eliminated in the second round by the Cavaliers. Considering Rose played only 49 regular season games over the last two seasons combined, this year has to be considered somewhat of a success. One area that he really struggled though was from behind the arc as he shot only 28.0 percent on a whopping 5.3 attempts per game. He'll need to either improve his percentage or take less shots from deep next season if he is going to save his overall percentage from the floor. Fantasy owners will always have to live with injury concerns when it comes to Rose, but have to be encouraged that he was able to make it through 51 games during the season and a couple of rounds in the playoffs.

Rose was held to 14 points (7-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and six assists in 36 minutes Thursday in a Game 6 loss to the Cavaliers.

Rose was an effective scorer in this series, averaging 21.7 points per game against the Cavs, but he dished out just 6.5 assists. His shooting also fell to 38.5 percent from the floor compared to 41 percent in the Bulls' first-round matchup against the Bucks.

Coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose (shoulder) is "fine" in advance of Game 6, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.

Rose appeared to suffer a wrist injury during Tuesday's Game 5, and he re-injured his shoulder stinger late in the game, but neither injury is considered serious. Barring a setback, Rose will start at point guard and should again see a large minutes load.

Rose had a recurrence of his shoulder stinger Tuesday but coach Tom Thibodeau said that "he'll be fine," K.C Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Rose suffered a shoulder stinger late in Game 1 and he appeared to suffer a similar injury late in Tuesday's Game 5 loss. He was able to play through the injury in Game 2 and while it's unlikely it will cause him to miss Thursday's potential elimination game, it will be something to monitor over the next few days.

Rose scored 31 points (11-23 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT) in a Game 4 loss to the Cavaliers on Sunday to go along with four assists and two rebounds in 41 minutes.

This was the second game in a row that Rose scored at least 30 points. On Friday, he shot 38.5 percent from the floor and posted 30, but had a much better game elsewhere in the box score. This series, he's averaging 25 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 0.5 steals per game.

Rose posted 30 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block in 39 minutes of action in Game 3 against the Cavaliers.

Rose's big performance put the Bulls up 2-1 for the series in spite of Pau Gasol's injury. He'll need to have another big performance in Game 4 for the Bulls to take a commanding 3-1 lead.

Rose nearly posted a triple-double during Wednesday's loss to the Cavaliers, finishing with 14 points (6-20 FG, 2-5 3Pt), seven rebounds, 10 assists and a blocked shot over 37 minutes.

Rose struggled to get much going offensively, but saved his stat line with the high number of rebounds and assists. Rose's shooting struggles have been apparent throughout the playoffs, shooting just 40 percent from the field over eight games. Rose again failed to even get to the free throw line, marking the third straight game without an attempt. He reportedly suffered a stinger to his shoulder in game 1, but considering he played 37 minutes Wednesday, he should be fine for another full game's worth of work Friday. Look for him to bounce back with a much better showing in his home arena.

Rose said his shoulder is fine and he will play in Game 2 Wednesday against the Cavaliers, ESPN Chicago reports.

Rose said he just suffered a stinger in Game 1 Monday and he is not sore at all anymore. Look for him to be a major contributor again in Game 2 and log heavy minutes.

Rose said Tuesday morning that he is not worried about the shoulder injury he suffered late in Monday's Game 1 against the Cavaliers, Sam Smith of Bulls.com reports. "It was a stinger," Rose said. "It went away within five, 10 minutes; it's something I'm not worried about."

Rose sustained the injury while fighting through a screen in the fourth quarter, leaving the game and heading to the bench for treatment. While it initially looked to be somewhat serious, Rose was in good spirits after the game, and all signs point to him being fine for Tuesday's Game 2. Rose finished with 25 points (11-26 FG), five rebounds and five assists Monday night.
