Cousins has been ruled out for the season in order to rehab his "right ankle and other leg injuries," the Kings' official site reports.

What was expected all along has now come to fruition. In essence, an examination with a specialist in Los Angeles on Friday revealed that Cousins was dealing with sprained ankles and a strained calf, among other ailments. For the final three games of the regular season, Jason Thompson is the best bet to start in Cousins' place.

Cousins (foot) could be shut down for the rest of the season, the Cowbell Kingdom reports.

After missing the Kings' last three games due to foot issues, Cousins visited with a specialist Friday, but nothing has emerged from the evaluation. With only three outings left in the regular season, it's likely safe to turn elsewhere if fantasy leagues are still hanging in the balance.

Cousins (foot) will meet with another specialist Friday, James Ham of Cowbell Kingdom reports.

Cousins has already been ruled out for Friday's game, and it looks as though there's a good chance he could miss the final three games of the season as well. The Kings are expecting a report from the specialist Saturday, at which point Cousins' status will be updated.

Cousins (foot) won't play Friday against the Thunder, Sean Cunningham of News 10 KXTV reports.

Cousins visited a foot specialist Wednesday, and has missed each of the last two games because of the issue. While it's just being labeled as a sore right foot, the injury will cost him at least Friday's contest as well. The big man's next chance to return would come Sunday against the Nuggets.

Cousins (foot) visited with a specialist in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the Sacramento Bee reports.

Cousins sat out Monday's game to rest a number of minor injuries accumulated over the course of the season, but the team is bit more concerned about the pain in his foot. At this point, the results of the visit to the specialist are unknown, but if pain persists Cousins could be held out of more games down the stretch. Sacramento plays in Oklahoma City on Friday and Denver on Sunday before finishing out the season with a home-and-home series against the Lakers on Monday and Wednesday.

Cousins (foot) has been officially ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.

As expected, Cousins will sit out for the second straight game while nursing a foot injury. It's unclear how severe the injury is, but if it's anything more than routine soreness, the non-contending Kings could opt to shelve him for the season.

Cousins (foot) is unlikely to play in Wednesday's game, Cowbell Kingdom's James Ham reports.

He has already been ruled out for Tuesday's game and will meet with team doctors, and may even get a second opinion. Given the Kings' status as a non-contender, it would not be surprising if Cousins missed most, if not all of the rest of the regular season. Jason Thompson could see increased run and touches down the stretch.

Cousins (foot) will not play Tuesday against the WolvesMarc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports.

It's not clear how serious the foot injury is, considering Cousins recently took a game to rest and the Kings are not in the playoff race. It's likely just a little sore, and he should be considered day to day going forward.

Cousins had his sixth straight double-double Sunday in a loss to the Jazz, scoring 26 points (11-22 FG, 4-9 FT) to go with 12 rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in 35 minutes.

Cousins did take one game off to rest at the end of March, so the double-doubles haven't been in consecutive games, but he's been on fire to end the season. In his past 10 games, Cousins is averaging 27.1 points, 15.4 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.7 blocks per game.

Cousins exploded for his second straight triple-double Friday against the Pelicans, posting 24 points, 20 rebounds, 13 assists, one steal, and four blocks in 42 minutes of action.

Cousins certainly wanted to prove something to the Pelicans' Anthony Davis, and Friday's performance puts Cousins on top by quite a notch. Cousins is averaging a whopping 27.8 points, 18.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.8 steals, and 3.5 blocks over the last four games, and even if his production was cut in half (for undefined reasons) moving forward, he's still a must-start player in all formats.
