Gordon will become an unrestricted free agent after the Magic declined the team option for 2015-16, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports.

Gordon averaged 6.2 points per game for the Magic last season. This option clears up $4.5 million in cap space and gives them $14.5 million total to work with. The 32 year-old signed a two-year deal last July.

Gordon is unlikely to return to Orlando next season, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Gordon's contract is unguaranteed for next season, and considering he saw limited time in only 56 games in 2014-15, the Magic are unlikely to keep him around. The 32-year-old, once a very productive shooting guard, may have enough left in the tank to help a contender, but he's not a great fit for a young team like Orlando and hasn't been given a chance to see consistent minutes since 2012-13, when he played 75 games for the then-Bobcats.

Gordon scored 13 points (5-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 19 minutes off the bench on Tuesday against the Rockets.

It's the most he's played since January 14th against the aforementioned Rockets. Gordon didn't play in the previous three games, but with Evan Fournier (hip), Willie Green (back), Devyn Marble (eye), Tobias Harris (ankle), and Dewayne Dedmon (ankle) all injured, the Magic are down to 10 healthy players. Luke Ridnour is ahead of him in the rotation, subduing talk of a potential resurgence. Doubly concerning, the Magic play two games during Week 22 (March 23-29), diffusing Gordon's long-term appeal.

Gordon saw three minutes of action against the Bucks on Thursday.

Gordon is an afterthought in Orlando as he's one of the last options off the bench on a team that's focused on procuring their young talent. This trend isn't expected to change at any point this season, leaving Gordon with very limited value unless he sees a change of scenery before the year comes to an end.

Gordon will be active for Thursday's game against Milwaukee, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Gordon has not played in each of the Magic's last two games, and he saw just 12 total minutes in the previous two contests. The 31-year-old is averaging just 6.7 points per game in 15.1 minutes.

Gordon was inactive during Sunday's game against the Pacers.

Coach Jacque Vaughn plans to rotate guys in and out of the active roster now that all 15 players are healthy. Gordon played in the previous 33 games, but his fantasy value is limited due to lack of minutes.

Gordon is averaging 9.3 points in 16.1 minutes per game over the last four contests. He's also shooting 61 percent from the field and 60 percent from downtown in those games.

Gordon is shooting a career-high 48 percent from the field this season. It appears the change in scenery and limited minutes are doing wonders for his touch as he tries to shed negative perceptions of his character. However, his fantasy upside is limited since he's averaging 2.3 combined rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks in 31 games.

Gordon scored 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3P) with three rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench Monday.

He got some extra court time early in the game when Evan Fournier left to get stitches, but Magic coach Jacque Vaughn stuck with the hot hand, and the result was Gordon's best scoring performance of the season since opening night. Unless an injury opens up a bigger spot in the rotation for him though, Gordon's fantasy value is limited.

Gordon is averaging 11.0 points per game off the bench through the first five games.

The absence of Victor Oladipo (face) has coach Jacque Vaughn looking for offense early on the year. While Gordon can occasionally heat up from quarter to quarter, he provides little else. In 122 minutes so far, Gordon hasn't recorded a steal or block, and his three-point stroke doesn't look like it's making a comeback, resting at a career-low 27.3 percent.

Gordon scored 22 points (7-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT) and added four assists in 26 minutes off the bench during Thursday's loss to the Wizards.

Gorden led all Magic reserves in minutes and played a majority of crunch time. With his primary objective to score the ball, only consider him in the deepest of leagues if you're starving for points.
