The NBA suspended Jason Kidd for two games after pleading guilty to driving while impaired. He plead guilty on July 16 for a misdemeanor drunken driving charge. This was an expected move by the NBA and the Nets are fully prepared for it. Assistant coach Lawrence Frank has conducted much of the offensive drills in practice and is more than capable of running the team in Kidd's absence. The Nets play at Cleveland on October 30 and host the Heat on November 1.
