Carmelo Anthony F NY Dec 06 '78

The NBA will not suspend Carmelo Anthony for his altercation with Spencer Hawes on Sunday, according to ESPN.com.

The league did review the incident, but decided that Melo's actions either weren't intentional or didn't warrant further punishment. He'll be ready to go for the Knicks' three-game week, but coach Mike Woodson hopes that Melo has learned a lesson. "He's just got to control his emotions," Woodson said. "Melo is a physical player and he likes contact which is great ... No punches were thrown. They assessed the technicals and the flagrants the way they saw it and we moved on."
