Channing Frye (shoulder) has been cleared for contact.
Frye was cleared to begin shooting in late July, and now he's been cleared for "some" contact. Although Frye has "a chance" of being ready for opening night, he is extremely doubtful for the preseason and may be sidelined into the regular season as well. With Frye sidelined, Marcin Gortat will play major minutes at center with just Jermaine O'Neal behind him.
