Smith was the first big man off the bench Tuesday, scoring seven points in Dallas' preseason loss to Houston. He added five rebounds and an assist in 14 minutes of action. Smith and his surgically-repaired knee looked solid against his former team. The fourth-year player will split time with teammate Brandan Wright.
