looks like we may be losing 2 managers in our Designated team keeper leagues at fleaflicker. One is 20 team 4 divisions the other 18 team 3 divisions. I'm going to try to shorten this to bullet point since there is a lot to grasp at first

In a designated team keeper league you become affiliated with a major league team, which becomes yours and you include that team name as part of yours.

On a yearly basis you can keep up to 3 designated team keepers( from your affiliated mlb team. This is not done by choosing them but via the draft or trade to get them on your roster( some people don't like this as it is not a conventional keeper, but a building league)

ON A YEARLY BASIS you can keep 3 other non designated keepers from your last year's roster to bring with you into the present season( your 3 favorite players on your roster from any mlb team as you own them on your roster.

If you have more than 3 on your roster you like from your designated team then those CAN be used as non designated keepers to keep on your squad.

You must have 3 designated team players( your mlb affiliated team) active on your roster all season. If you go into the draft with 1, you will need to draft 2 more. You do not have to keep those on your roster if you don't like them and can replace them in the draft. We also have instituted pre season trading, which is turning into a real hoot. Any players traded between teams must be keepers for both managers.

NEW MANAGERS WILL HAVE PREFERENCE IN DRAFT ORDER according to number of designated keepers they have and then inverse order of standings from previous season for old managers.

You can change your designated team the next season, as long as no other manager owns the team you want to be affiliated with. There are several ways of doing this which I won't go into now.

New Managers are responsible for taking over abandoned rosters, not always the one they enter into as that one may have already been claimed by a previous year's managers. I will need to make more clear which rosters are available to incoming managers,as that caused some confusion this time around , but I'm still refining the many points of this evolving game.

New Manager will be responsible for choosing a designated team to be affiliated with using the players on his adopted roster( if you find a player on an mlb team not affiliated with another of our league managers you can choose that as your designated team keeper and then choose 3 more non designated(your 3 favorite just like a standard keeper) keepers from that roster. Manager then will change his team name to reflect the MLB team he is now affiliated with.

New manager can then try to join the pre season trading frenzy to get more keepers for his designated team or better non designated ones. Trades can only include keepers for both teams.
