2 Hrs Cleveland Indians Comment

Travis Hafner homered, doubled and drove in three runs on Wednesday, leading the charge as Cleveland rocked Felix Hernandez and the Mariners.

The Tribe rocked King Felix for a surprising eight runs in only 3 2/3 innings. Hafner's bomb came off of Hisashi Iwakuma in the sixth, however. The home run was just his fifth of the season, though three of those have come in May. He's now batting .259/.397/.464 to go along with 12 extra-base hits and 19 RBI.

2 Hrs Seattle Mariners Comment

Dustin Ackley went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's loss to the Indians.

The three-hit night prolongs Ackley's hitting streak to 12 games, though he's posted just two multi-hit efforts along the way. The home run was his third, and only his second since the Mariners' season opener in Japan. Seattle's leadoff hitter will bring a .262/.325/.383 triple slash into play on Thursday.

2 Hrs Arizona Diamondbacks Comment

Chris Young (shoulder) blasted a grand slam during a rehab game for High-A Visalia Wednesday.

Young now has four hits and seven RBI in three rehab games. He'll go to Triple-A Reno Thursday and looks to have a good chance to rejoin the Diamondbacks over the weekend with how he's looked at the dish so far. The 28-year-old outfielder has been sidelined since mid-April due to a slight ligament tear in his right shoulder.

2 Hrs Toronto Blue Jays Comment

Kyle Drabek dominated the Yankees in Wednesday's 8-1 win, allowing just one run on three hits in seven innings of work.

He struck out five. Drabek did issue four walks, however, making tonight the third straight outing he's handed out at least four free passes. He's the owner of a 38/28 K/BB ratio through 46 1/3 innings. At some point, the walks will catch up with him. He'll bring a 3.30 ERA and 1.42 WHIP into his Monday start in Tampa Bay.

2 Hrs New York Yankees Comment

Hiroki Kuroda got lit up by the Blue Jays on Wednesday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and three home runs in just five innings of New York's 8-1 loss.

Kuroda struck out six and walked two in falling to 3-5. The seven runs were a season worst, though Kuroda has now allowed at least six runs in three of his eight starts. Puzzlingly, most of his struggles have come away from hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium. He'll bring a 4.50 ERA and 30/17 K/BB ratio into his Monday start against the Royals.

2 Hrs Kansas City Royals Comment

Chris Getz left Wednesday's game with a bruised left rib following a collision at first base with the Orioles' Chris Davis.

He should be considered day-to-day for the time being. Irving Falu replaced him at second base.

2 Hrs St Louis Cardinals Comment

Carlos Beltran (knee) is also dealing with discomfort in his right foot.

Beltran said his knee and foot are getting better every day and there's no talk "right now" of him going on the DL, but he didn't rule out the possibility. "I'm improving a little but -- not the way I'd hoped for," Beltran said. "But we'll see. It's too early for me to say." Beltran is missing his third straight start Wednesday and will not play in the Giants' spacious outfield Thursday, either.
