Justin Masterson delivered a dazzling performance against the White Sox on Friday, firing nine scoreless innings while allowing just five hits.

Masterson walked one and punched out seven on the night. He needed to go all nine innings to earn the victory also, as it took until the final frame for the Indians' offense to scratch out a run for him. He'll carry a 3-0 record and sparkling 0.41 ERA into Fenway where he'll do battle against the Red Sox on Thursday.

Justin Masterson fired seven scoreless innings Sunday in the Indians' 13-0 defeat of the Rays.

Another lights-out start for Masterson, who allowed only one run over six innings against the Blue Jays last week in his 2013 debut. The 28-year-old right-hander is 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA through two starts.

Justin Masterson allowed just one run in six innings in the Indians 4-1 victory over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

After a breakout 2011, Masterson struggled to a 4.93 ERA and 1.45 WHIP last season. Still just 28, the sinkerballer has time to turn it around and prove 2012 was the exception and not the rule. Masterson walked four batters on Tuesday, a problem that plagued him last year as well, so even after his promising start he's not out of the woods yet. He's more of a watch-and-see candidate in mixed leagues at this point.

Justin Masterson gave up two runs over five innings Thursday against the Padres.

Masterson struck out seven and walked just one. While he'll finish the spring with a 4.76 ERA in six starts, his 26/6 K/BB ratio in 22 2/3 innings was pretty encouraging. He's set to make his second career Opening Day start next Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Justin Masterson punched out seven Diamondbacks, but wound up taking the loss after allowing five runs (one earned) on four hits over his five frames.

The Tribe's defense didn't do him any favors, as a pair of costly errors led to four unearned runs. He's posted a terrific 19/5 K/BB ratio over 17 2/3 innings this spring, and could be in line for a nice bounce-back season after a disappointing 2012.

Justin Masterson gave up five earned runs over four innings in Sunday's game against the Reds.

Masterson allowed home runs to Todd Frazier and Xavier Paul to open the game, but was able to bounce back with three scoreless innings. He continues to be highly inconsistent and won't be more than a late-round flier in fantasy leagues. The Indians have already named Masterson their Opening Day starter.
