Cardinals acquired RHP Justin Masterson from the Indians in exchange for OF James Ramsey.
Masterson has struggled in his walk season, posting a 5.51 ERA over 19 starts. However, he's dealt with a knee issue and the Cards are hopeful that he'll pick things up if that injury is behind him. Justin Masterson struggled during his second rehab start with Triple-A Columbus on Friday, allowing five runs on four hits over his 6 2/3 innings.
The veteran right-hander struggled mightily with his command, issuing six walks and throwing just 62 of his 108 pitches for strikes. This outing certainly won't help his trade value, and it's likely he'll need at least one more tune-up before rejoining the Indians rotation.

Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that teams have asked the Indians about the availability of Justin Masterson.
Making his way back from a knee injury, Masterson will make his second rehab start with Triple-A Columbus on Friday and could wind up returning with another team. The 29-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the season after extension talks with the Indians this spring broke down. Masterson has put up a disappointing 5.51 ERA through 19 starts in his walk year, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see him have a nice second half if his knee is right.
