The normally even-keel Bautista lost his temper for a second and paid the price for it, finishing the day with an 0-for-3 line. He was replaced in the game by Nolan Reimold.

The homer off Andrew Miller was his first since July 2 (and the first Miller has given up since May 13). Whether it's a coincidence or not, Bautista has slumped mightily with Edwin Encarnacion sidelined. Still, this makes back-to-back two-hit games for him for the first time since June 4-5.

Bautista had been out since June 22 because of a mild left hamstring strain. His solo shot in the bottom of the first inning was off Brewers starter Marco Estrada and set the tone for a Toronto victory. "Joey Bats" is hitting .303/.430/.531 with 16 home runs and 50 RBI in 79 games this season.
