Jose Bautista went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in the Blue Jays' win over the Twins on Tuesday.

Bautista broke out of a mini slump on Sunday, and he continued to heat up against Phil Hughes and the Twins' relievers on Tuesday. He delivered an RBI single and later came around to score in the Jays' five-run sixth inning. The run batted in was his 10th on the year, and the outfielder is batting .267 and climbing with his output in recent days.

Jose Bautista blasted his fourth home run of the season in Tuesday's win over the Astros.

Bautista took Brett Oberholtzer deep for a solo shot in the first inning, and added two walks for a productive night. If the slugger can avoid the injury bug, he seems ready to return near the top of many leaderboards in 2014.

Jose Bautista went 2-for-3 with two walks and two home runs against the Rays on Wednesday.

Bautista hit his first two homers of the season, both solo shots off of left-handed pitchers. Despite missing time due to injury in each of the past two seasons, Bautista hit 27 and 28 home runs. If he can stay healthy, 35 seems like a realistic target for the slugger.

Jose Bautista was scratched from Saturday's lineup due to a stomach ailment.

It doesn't sound like a big deal. Bautista should be good to go for Opening Day.

Jose Bautista went 2-for-3 with a home run in a 5-4 win over the Mets on Friday.

Jose Bautista launched a pair of two-run homers to lead the Blue Jays to an 11-6 win over the Phillies on Wednesday.

Bautista is up to five homers and a 1.303 OPS this spring. That OPS nearly matches the 1.343 mark he put up prior to his breakthrough season in 2010, and this will almost surely go down as his fifth straight spring with at least a .600 slugging percentage.

Jose Bautista hit his third spring homer Saturday off Twins closer Glen Perkins in the Blue Jays' 4-3 victory.

Always a spring training stud, Bautista is 7-for-17 with five extra-base hits, seven RBI and four walks so far. Since 2010, Bautista has 21 homers and 32 doubles in 246 spring at-bats.

Jose Bautista homered and walked Wednesday as the Blue Jays beat the Phillies 4-3 in a rain-shortened affair.

The game was delayed in the seventh and quickly called afterwards, as often happens in Grapefruit League games. Bautista's blast off Roberto Hernandez in the first inning left the entire complex. He's one of the best spring training performers around, and if one game is any indication, that's not about to change. Last year, he hit six homers in 60 spring at-bats. He's slugged at least .630 each season since 2010.

Jose Bautista began working out earlier than normal this offseason and is pleased with the results.

Bautista took Melky Cabrera under his wing and the two outfielders showed up to Blue Jays camp this month in tip-top shape. "It was kind of easy and natural and we just decided to start earlier than we normally do," Bautista said. "We are both coming off injuries and we wanted to try to get into the best shape of our lives before spring training started." Bautista had 28 homers and 73 RBI in 118 games last season.

A National League general manager has indicated to the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo that Jose Bautista could be available via trade.

"It's a name we're hearing through back channels right now, but wouldn't be surprised if he's available" the GM said. Howard Eskin of FOX 29 TV and 94 WIP reported last week that the Phillies were nearing a deal for Bautista, but while that report was debunked, it does appear the slugger could be available. The Blue Jays would want pitching in return.
