Markakis remains no worse than day-to-day, after his shoulder was shown to be structurally sound in the X-ray. That said, don't be surprised if the Orioles hold him out again Sunday, as they have no incentive to rush him back.

Markakis has been scorching hot to start off August, hitting .382 (13-for-34) with two homers, two doubles, two RBI and five runs scored (while also drawing eight walks) through 10 games. He continues to put up solid numbers atop the order for the division-leading Orioles.
