Ian Kinsler (ribs) is out of the Rangers' starting lineup again on Saturday evening.

Kinsler was hit in the ribs by a throw Tuesday while stealing second base and aggravated his contusion Thursday during an at-bat. He is considered day-to-day.

Ian Kinsler was scratched from Friday's lineup due to bruised ribs.

It's possible he hurt his ribs on his poorly-executed head-first slide on Thursday night. Consider him day-to-day for now. Leury Garcia will fill in at second base while Elvis Andrus bats leadoff.

Ian Kinsler hit his sixth home run of the season in Saturday's win over the Red Sox.

It was Kinsler's only hit in five at-bats, and it came on the first pitch of the game. The Rangers would never look back. Kinsler is hitting .336 and now has 19 RBI, especially impressive considering he's hit leadoff the entire year. He's also stolen three bases this season.

Ian Kinsler went 2-for-5 with two RBI as the Rangers defeated the White Sox on Tuesday.

Kinsler also scored two runs batting in the leadoff spot, and the second baseman is now hitting .317 on the year. Hitting atop the Rangers lineup, Kinsler should continue to contribute in all five categories -- in short, continue to be an elite fantasy option at the keystone.

Ian Kinsler singled and ripped a solo homer in Thursday's loss to the Cubs.

Both Kinsler and Nelson Cruz took Carlos Villanueva deep, but those were the only two runs the Rangers could muster off of the Cubs in this one. Kinsler is off to a fantastic start, sporting a .309 average with five dingers and 10 RBI through 14 games. Only Michael Morse and Chris Davis have gone deep more than him in the AL thus far.

Ian Kinsler went 2-for-4 and homered to give the Rangers their only run Friday against the Mariners.

Kinsler has racked up six multihit games and four homers already. He's not going to keep his average over .300 all year, but he should be an elite fantasy second baseman anyway.
