While he doesn't excel in any specific category, his reliable production across the board makes him a nice target as a middle infielder in mixed league drafts.

The Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo writes that it "looks more and more" like the Angels will trade Howie Kendrick over the offseason.

Cafardo says the Angels will be looking for "some pitching or prospects" in return. Kendrick is owed a reasonable $18.85 million over the next two seasons, but if the Halos can get some much-needed pitching help for him, it's something they'll surely consider. Cafardo lists the Royals and Orioles as possible landing spots for Kendrick.

Kendrick took Oakland starter A.J. Griffin deep in the first, giving Jason Vargas all the offensive support that he needed in the 3-0 victory. The 30-year-old second baseman finished 1-for-3. Kendrick is slashing .302/.341/.448 with 13 home runs and 53 RBI.
