Webb was released by the White Sox on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Webb underwent Tommy John surgery in early June, and it seems that the White Sox weren't impressed enough with his recent performance to keep him on the roster during his rehabilitation. The right-hander does have a decent history of missing bats, although his fastball velocity has been decreasing over the past few seasons, which could make it tough to sign anything beyond a minor league deal during the offseason.

Webb (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Webb underwent Tommy John surgery June 10, ending his 2016 season after a month of work between Triple-A Charlotte and the White Sox. He was transferred to the 60-day DL on Saturday in order to make room for Alfredo Gonzalez.

Webb had Tommy John surgery Friday, ending his 2016 season.
EDGE Analysis
Webb landed on the DL in late April with elbow inflammation but it turned out that he would require ligament replacement surgery. He'll head to the 60-day DL at some point in the near future and will likely be shut down until next summer.

Webb was placed on the 15-day DL on Friday with right elbow flexor inflammation.
EDGE Analysis
Webb was recalled for Triple-Charlotte on Wednesday, where he recorded two saves to go with a 3.38 ERA. Tommy Kahnle was brought up from Charlotte to replace Webb in the bullpen. Webb has only pitched in one inning with the White Soxs so far this season, recording three strikeouts while allowing two hits.

Webb was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
With Miguel Gonzalez heading back to the minor leagues, the White Sox needed another arm in the bullpen, and Webb was the lucky man to get the call. Webb has been decent with the Knights to start the season, garnering two saves to go with a 3.38 ERA, but he'll likely slot into a middle-relief role with Chicago.

Webb was reassigned to minor league camp Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old Webb has given up eight earned runs in 6.2 innings of Cactus League play, likely costing himself the chance to earn a spot on the Opening Day roster. He hasn't shown much promise, owning a 4.54 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 90:68 K:BB over 109 innings in 93 career major-league appearances.

Webb (back) was reinstated from the 15-day DL on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Webb is set to return to the middle of Chicago's bullpen, where he is unlikely to see any high-leverage opportunities.

Chicago White Sox pitcher Daniel Webb will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Friday as he continues to recover from a back strain. Webb is expected to rejoin the major league bullpen by the end of the month.

Webb pitched a hitless two-thirds of an inning Tuesday to pick up the win against the Cardinals. He only needed seven pitches to retire his two batters in the 10th before David Robertson came on to close things in the bottom of the 11th. Webb has yet to allow a run in his first 10 appearances this season, and he may finally have a handle on his walking ways after posting a 14.2 percent walk rate last season.

Webb was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday, ESPN's Doug Padilla reports. Webb will serve as an extra bullpen arm and the 26th man for the doubleheader. The right-hander owns a 4.01 ERA through 24.2 innings in Triple-A this season, and is a perfect 2-for-2 in save opportunities. He'll likely be headed back to Charlotte following the game.
