Chris Iannetta is expected to return to the Angels next season.

Iannetta has a $5 million option for 2013, and it sounds like both parties are interested in continuing the relationship. "I wanna be here," Iannetta said, with Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto adding, "It's certainly something we're interested in." Iannetta has hit .242/.335/.402 with nine homers while being limited to 78 games this season, but he's likely to earn the $5 million if he can stay off the DL in 2013.

Chris Iannetta went 3-for-4 with a triple and his 16th RBI in Wednesday's win over the Red Sox.

The extra-base hit was his fourth in 17 July games, while the RBI was his seventh. Not exactly Posey-esque numbers, but enough to keep Iannetta on the radar in two-catcher mixed leagues. Through 143 plate appearances, he's hitting .223/.336/.421.

Angels activated C Chris Iannetta from the 15-day disabled list.

Iannetta missed almost three months because of a fractured right wrist. The 29-year-old was hitting just .197 with a .706 OPS in 26 games before the injury but could carry sneaky fantasy value down the stretch.
