Chris Iannetta (wrist) will be cleared Saturday to restart his throwing program.

Iannetta suffered tightness in his forearm when trying to prepare for a rehab assignment and has been doing strictly hitting-activities since. "Hopefully we'll see some progress this week and get a better idea on when he's going out on his rehab assignment," manager Mike Scioscia said. Iannetta is working his way back from wrist surgery. His timetable is a bit of a moving target, but he could return before the All-Star break if all goes well.

"Hopefully it's not weeks," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said, "but it's not day to day." Iannetta's rehab assignment was recently pushed back due to forearm tightness, and he resumed throwing Monday. It sounds like he probably won't begin an assignment until next week.
