Phillies optioned LHP Jacob Diekman and RHP Justin De Fratus to Triple-A Lehigh Valley; reassigned INF Josh Fields and LHP Cesar Jimenez to minor league camp.

Diekman has plenty of upside as a situational lefty, but his control is still a work in progress. He and De Fratus will be up at some point this season.

Phillies optioned LHP Jacob Diekman to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Diekman holds a 4.64 ERA and 1.59 WHIP over 23 appearances with the Phils this season. He and Joe Savery are making room for the arrival of new acquisitions Nate Schierholtz and Josh Lindblom.
