Corey Hart 1B/RF.. SEA 1 Day

Hart (knee) was activated from the 15-day disabled list Monday.

Hart will give the Mariners another option at first base and at the designated hitter spot for the remainder of the season. While he likely won't see everyday work like he did at the beginning of the season, it wouldn't be surprising if he saw a good chunk of playing time.

Hart (knee) began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday, going 0-for-3 at the plate.

Hart will require at least a couple more games with Tacoma, after he missed the previous three weeks of action due to a bruised right knee. The Mariners figure to bring him back from the DL when rosters expand in September, but since he's only on a one-year contract and batting .203/.278/.314 on the season, don't expect the Mariners to give him regular at-bats.

Corey Hart went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice fly in his return from the disabled list Friday.

Hart's ninth inning sac fly was the M's only offense of the night against Chris Sale. The 32-year-old missed six weeks with a hamstring strain, but the Mariners are hoping he can add some pop to what is a predominantly left-handed lineup.

Corey Hart (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

He should only need a handful of rehab games, putting him in line for a return sometime next week. Hart, who has missed the last month with a strained left hamstring, was batting just .209 with a .647 OPS before going down with the injury.

Corey Hart (hamstring) will take batting practice for the first time on Friday since straining his hamstring on May 19.

He'll progress to doing some light running on the field on Saturday, as he continues to work his way back towards a return to the Mariners lineup. If all goes well, he could be cleared for a minor league rehab assignment in a week or so, and be looking at a return to the lineup in late-June.

Corey Hart (hamstring) was given a platlet-rich plasma (PRP) injection on Monday.

Hart won't be allowed to begin activities for another week. He's expected to be out until at least mid-June with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain.

Corey Hart (hamstring) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Hart suffered a Grade 2 left hamstring strain on Sunday and was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday afternoon. The veteran outfielder was batting just .209 with a .647 OPS this season for the Mariners, but he did have five home runs and 17 RBI in 37 games. That power will be dearly missed in the Seattle lineup.

Mariners placed OF/DH Corey Hart on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 19, with a left hamstring strain.

The Mariners have called up Nick Franklin in a corresponding roster move. Hart is dealing with a Grade 2 strain of his left hamstring and might not be ready when he's first eligible.
