Marte will miss the final two games of the Pirates' big four-game set in St. Louis. The Bucs have called up Matt Hague in a corresponding 25-man roster move.

Starling Marte went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI double, and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the D'Backs.
Marte drove in a run with a ground out in the first, walked and stole second but was stranded in the sixth, and doubled in a run and scored in the eighth. All in all, quite a productive night for the outfielder, who is now slashing .256/.325/.382 with five home runs, 31 RBI, and 19 stolen bases.

Starling Marte hit a two-run double in the ninth inning of the Pirates' come-from-behind, 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
Marte had been hitless in three at-bats, including two strikeouts, before hitting an Addison Reed pitch to deep center to tie the game at 2-2. He ended up scoring the winning run on an Ike Davis walk-off single. Marte is still searching for it at the plate, as he's still batting just .259/.326/.387 after Tuesday's heroics.

Starling Marte is back in the Pirates' lineup Sunday.
Marte hasn't played since Tuesday, when he jammed his finger during a collision at second base on a stolen base attempt. He's in center field Sunday, with Andrew McCutchen getting a day off. Russell Martin is also getting a breather for the Pirates.

Marte appeared as a pinch-runner in Friday's game, but still isn't able to swing the bat without pain. It looks as though he'll still need a couple of days before returning to the lineup.

Starling Marte (finger) was not in the Pirates' lineup Thursday.
Marte is still feeling the effects of a collision at second base during Tuesday's game on a stolen base attempt. It's his jammed right middle finger that's a bigger issue than his head at this point. "He's being treated for that finger," manager Clint Hurdle said. "He's going to try to hit and find out what he'll be able to do tonight. He was better than [Wednesday]."

Marte exited Tuesday's game after taking a knee to the head on a stolen base attempt, but it sounds like he'll be OK. He also suffered a jammed right middle finger on the play and is sitting out Wednesday, but it appears he can be considered day-to-day.
