Trevor Bauer SP CLE 5 Days

Trevor Bauer notched a quality start with three runs allowed over six innings but took a loss against the Twins Wednesday.

He struck out seven on the day but surrendered an RBI single in the third, an RBI double in the fifth and a home run in the sixth. Bauer gave up six hits and walked a pair on the day. It was the right-hander's fourth straight quality start, as he's lowered his ERA from 4.42 to 3.93 over that stretch. He'll take on the Mariners at home next week.

Trevor Bauer SP CLE 15 Days

Trevor Bauer notched a career-high 10 strikeouts while tossing 6 2/3 shutout innings but took a no-decision in the Indians' 3-2 win over the White Sox Sunday.

He gave up eight hits and walked three, getting removed after 117 pitches following a two-out single by Jose Abreu in the seventh. Bauer has been up-and-down since the beginning of June but finishes the first half having allowed just two earned runs over his last two outings. He'll bring a 3.84 ERA with 70 strikeouts over 72 2/3 innings into the All-Star break.

Trevor Bauer SP CLE 20 Days

Trevor Bauer improved to 3-4, allowing three runs (two earned) in seven innings as the Indians walked away with a 5-3 win against the Yankees on Tuesday.

Bauer has been consistent, at least, allowing three or four runs in each of his last seven outings. He was able to outduel Masahiro Tanaka on Tuesday, affording the Yankees only four hits while walking two and striking out six. The promising right-hander carries a 4.23 ERA, a 1.39 ERA, and a 60/24 K/BB ratio. Bauer will face the White Sox at home to lead his team into the All-Star break.

Trevor Bauer SP CLE 1 Month

Trevor Bauer gave up four earned runs over 6 1/3 innings Saturday as the Indians fell to the Tigers.

Bauer escaped with a no-decision because the Tigers won in extras. The young right-hander gave up eight hits -- including three home runs -- and issued two walks in the rough outing at a sold-out Progressive Field. Bauer has a rough 4.40 ERA and 1.43 WHIP on the season.

Trevor Bauer SP CLE 1 Month

Trevor Bauer picked up a win after allowing three runs in 6 2/3 innings Monday against the Angels.

It's surprising just how average Bauer's results have been since he joined the Indians rotation last month; he's allowed between two and four runs in each of his six starts. We were expecting more boom and bust, given his history. Still, while the 4.20 ERA and 1.40 WHIP are hardly spectacular, the 42/16 K/BB ratio on 40 2/3 innings is pretty nice. It's worth sticking with him in mixed leagues.

Trevor Bauer SP CLE 2 Months

Trevor Bauer allowed three earned runs over 5 1/3 innings Wednesday in a loss to the Royals.

It wasn't an especially good outing from the 23-year-old right-hander, who gave up seven hits and walked one while tallying just a single strikeout. He is now 1-3 with a 4.24 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in six starts this season. At least he isn't getting completely blown up. The Indians should roll him out there again next week versus the Angels.

Trevor Bauer SP CLE 2 Months

Trevor Bauer pitched fairly well in a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday, surrendering four runs on five hits and a pair of walks over his 6 1/3 innings of work.

All of the damage against him came in a four-run uprising in the second inning, capped off by a two-run homer off the bat of Rougned Odor. Bauer settled in nicely afterwards though, as he didn't allow a hit the remainder of his outing and gave his team a chance to win. He'll bring a 4.08 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 35/11 K/BB ratio into Wednesday's matchup against the Royals in Kansas City.

Trevor Bauer SP CLE 2 Months

Trevor Bauer held the Rockies to two runs in six innings Saturday in a no-decision.

Mike Aviles didn't put the Tribe ahead for good until the bottom of the eighth inning, so Bauer was not credited with a win. But he pitched really well, yielding only four hits and one walk while striking out eight batters. The 23-year-old right-hander has a cool 3.63 ERA and 29/9 K/BB ratio over 22 1/3 innings this season and will try to build on his early success next week in Arlington, Texas.

Trevor Bauer SP CLE 2 Months

Trevor Bauer allowed four runs in 4 1/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the Orioles.

Bauer's biggest problem in the majors has always been inefficiency, and it reared its ugly head again Sunday. The right-hander gave up six hits, including two home runs, and walked three in using 105 pitches through his 4 1/3 innings of work. He also struck out eight. Bauer and the Indians hope he can turn in a longer outing Saturday against the Rockies.

Trevor Bauer SP CLE 2 Months

Trevor Bauer picked up his first win of the season, giving up two runs over six innings as the Indians defeated the Tigers 6-2 on Tuesday.

Bauer is back in the Indians' rotation and put together a solid effort on Tuesday, allowing seven hits -- including two solo home runs to Torii Hunter and Alex Avila -- while walking three and striking out five. The 23-year-old has a sky-high potential if he can tame his control problems. Bauer will go for his second win against the Orioles on the road in his next outing.
