Manager Bryan Price said it is "unlikely" that Hamilton plays in Sunday's season finale, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Price did not rule Hamilton out completely, but given that the game is of little importance to the Reds, Hamilton figures to open Sunday's game on the bench unless he reports significant improvement with his concussion symptoms.

Hamilton (concussion) is out of the lineup Thursday against the Brewers, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Hamilton made an outstanding play to steal a home run away from Ryan Braun in the third inning of Wednesday's game, but he crashed hard into the outfield wall and was later diagnosed with a concussion. Although it was deemed mild, the injury figures to jeopardize Hamilton's availability for the Reds' final series against Pittsburgh, though the team has yet to formally rule him out. Yorman Rodriguez is starting in center field Thursday, with Brandon Phillips leading off.

Hamilton left Wednesday's game against the Brewers with a mild concussion, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Despite the "mild" classification, Hamilton's season is presumably over as a result of the concussion, suffering in a collision with the outfield wall in the third inning of Wednesday's game. Even if he is cleared to return before the end of the weekend, the Reds figure to hold him out, with an eye toward 2015. The 24-year-old went 0-for-2 prior to exiting the game, marking his seventh hitless performance in his last eight contests.

Hamilton left Wednesday's game against the Brewers with an apparent injury, John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Hamilton made a leaping catch at the wall to rob Ryan Braun of a home run in the third inning, and was then replaced in center field by Chris Heisey in the top of the fifth. The team has yet to provide a reason for his departure, but Fay noted that it looked like Hamilton was getting his left arm check out by trainers.

Hamilton is out of the lineup Thursday against the Orioles, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Hamilton was involved in a collision with first base umpire Mike DiMuro on Tuesday, but he stayed in the game and his absence Thursday does not appear to be related. Rather, it seems manager Bryan Price has just decided Hamilton could use a breather following 21 consecutive starts. Jason Bourgeois will take over in center field and atop the order.
