Paul Goldschmidt went 4-for-5 and smacked his sixth homer of the season in Monday's win over the Dodgers.

His fifth-inning longball was the first of back-to-back shots with Cody Ross, which forced starter Chris Capuano from the game. Goldy is now hitting .316 with his six dingers, and his 24 RBI rank among the league leaders. The Diamondbacks first baseman could be in for a big breakout season.

Paul Goldschmidt launched a two-run homer in Thursday's win over the Rockies.

The fourth-inning blast broke a 1-1 tie and ended up being the difference in the ballgame. The 25-year-old is now hitting .325 with five home runs and 18 RBI through 22 games this season. The big difference has been a spike in his production against right-handers, though it's too soon to say whether it's a legitimate improvement or the product of a small sample size. Either way, he's looking like one of the better fantasy first basemen out there.

Paul Goldschmidt had a two-run homer and an RBI double as the Diamondbacks topped the Giants 6-4 in 11 innings on Tuesday.

The go-ahead run scored in the 12th on a wild pitch, and Gerardo Parra followed with an RBI double for insurance. Goldschmidt's homer tonight, his fourth of the season, came off Matt Cain. Obviously, it's still very early, but it's nice seeing him produce against righties after he did all of his best work against lefties last year.
