Adams should expect to be pushed by Mark Reynolds for playing time this year, reports.

John Mozeliak, the Cardinals general manager, said that Reynolds is an accomplished MLB player and they expect him to push Adams. While it's safe to assume that Adams will be the Cardinals primary first baseman, his value could fluctuate wildly depending on both his and Mark Reynolds performance this spring. Reynolds is expected to get most of the at-bats against left-handed pitchers but it's possible a strong spring from Adams could get him the bulk of those at-bats instead. Whereas a poor spring from Adams could give Reynolds an opportunity to see some time against righties as well as lefties.
