Brewers signed C Robinzon Diaz to a minor league contract.

Diaz, 29, batted .290/.314/.432 at Triple-A for the Angels and Rangers in 2012. He's merely organizational depth.

Diaz was hitting .285/.309/.437 with four home runs, 31 RBI and a .746 OPS over 166 plate appearances this season with Triple-A Salt Lake. The 28-year-old backstop hasn't appeared in the majors since 2009 with the Pirates.
