Ryan Dempster allowed four runs over six innings in a win against the Tigers on Wednesday.

Dempster wasn't stellar but he didn't need to be, as the Red Sox offense provided him with 20 runs in support. He was plenty good enough, though, allowing six hits and two walks while fanning seven. He'll look to make it three wins in a row Tuesday against the Rays in Tampa.

Ryan Dempster allowed three runs over 6 1/3 innings in Friday's win over the White Sox.

His first start since his suspension for hitting Alex Rodriguez, Dempster held the White Sox to one run over the first six innings before running out of gas in the seventh. His rotation spot could be in jeopardy when Clay Buchholz comes off the disabled list.

Ryan Dempster will make his next start next Friday against the White Sox.

Ryan Dempster will not appeal his five-game suspension and will begin serving it Tuesday.

MLB has suspended Ryan Dempster for five games and fined him an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing at Alex Rodriguez on Sunday.

No word yet on whether he'll appeal. It's worth noting that the Red Sox have upcoming off-days on Thursday and Monday, so they should be able to get by just fine if he begins serving the suspension immediately. In the end, it's not much of a punishment. Yankees manager Joe Girardi was also fined an undisclosed amount for his actions during Sunday's game.

Ryan Dempster allowed one run over seven innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Dempster muddled through two poor starts prior to this one, but the right-hander allowed just four hits and two walks in his seven innings on Tuesday. It was the first time Dempter lasted at least seven innings since June 14. He'll try to keep the train rolling when he faces the Yankees on Sunday.

Ryan Dempster allowed five runs over six innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Wednesday.

Dempster was actually able to do some good things on Wednesday, as he struck out seven batters while not issuing a walk. Still, five runs against a bad Astros offense can hardly be considered a success. He didn't factor in the decision, remaining at 6-8 with a 4.67 ERA this season. He'll face the Blue Jays in Toronto on Tuesday.

"I've just got to execute better pitches,ƒ?? Dempster said after the game. Currently 6-8 with a 4.54 ERA, Dempster isn't worth using in mixed leagues until he turns it around.
