Santiago Casilla (knee) threw off a mound Tuesday and is expected to be available Wednesday night.

Casilla hasn't made a relief appearance since last Wednesday because of a cyst on his right knee, but all is well now. The right-hander has a 2.12 ERA in 17 innings.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy declared Santiago Casilla unavailable for Friday's game against the Braves due to a cyst on his right knee.

Casilla will receive a brace for his knee on Saturday, and could be available in the bullpen afterwards. The 32-year-old has pitched very well over his first 19 appearances, compiling a 2.12 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 14/10 K/BB ratio through 17 innings of work.

Santiago Casilla will undergo an MRI on his right knee.

Casilla had trouble getting loose before Wednesday's appearance and might have been dealing with an injury before the game. He was then removed after tweaking his knee while covering first base. If Casilla is sidelined for a while, Jeremy Affeldt would likely be in line for saves if something should happen to Sergio Romo.
