Alberto Callaspo still felt tightness in his right calf when he tried to run on Thursday.

The Angels will make a decision Friday on what to do with Callaspo, and it sounds like they'll probably have to put him on the disabled list. They can backdate the move and bring the infielder back as soon as April 27.

Callaspo hasn't played since Thursday because of tightness in his right calf. He's still listed on the lineup card as an extra, so the Angels aren't placing him on the disabled list yet. They likely can't go short-handed much longer, though. Luis Jimenez is playing third base again Monday.

Callaspo left Thursday's game against the A's after seven innings due to tightness in his right calf and wasn't feeling well enough to go on Friday. Luis Jimenez was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday and will start in Callaspo's place.
