The Dodgers released De La Rosa on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa, who previously spent parts of seven seasons in the majors from 2011 through 2017, joined the Dodgers on a minor-league deal in February following a four-year run overseas with the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball. After failing to win a spot in the Dodgers' Opening Day bullpen, De La Rosa never joined an affiliate before he was cut loose.

De La Rosa agreed to a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa has spent the last four seasons with the Yomiuri Giants in Japan, and posted a 2.53 ERA with 33 saves over his 137 appearances in the NPB. The right-hander hasn't appeared in an MLB game since 2017 as a member of the Diamondbacks. He will provide Triple-A Oklahoma City with some depth for the 2023 campaign.

De La Rosa signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It's a homecoming of sorts for De La Rosa, who came up in the Dodgers' system and debuted for them all the way back in 2011. De La Rosa, who turns 34 next month, has spent the last four years as a reliever with the Yomiuri Giants in Japan. He hasn't appeared in a major-league game since 2017.

De La Rosa was reassigned to minor-league camp Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa is back on the mound for the first time in 18 months after recovering from Tommy John surgery. He'll need more time to get up to speed in the minors, as he allowed three runs in 3.2 innings of spring work.

The Diamondbacks feel De La Rosa may be best served starting the season at Triple-A Reno, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa is pitching again after missing 18 months due to Tommy John elbow surgery -- the second time he's undergone that procedure. He's had a pair of scoreless outings this spring, including Monday when he struck out the side against the Reds. By having De La Rosa start at Reno, the organization can easily limit the length and frequency of his appearances. "We're in no rush to push him through," manager Torey Lovullo said. "This is a very, very delicate situation for somebody that's gone through this procedure twice." Once the right-hander is eased into the season, De La Rosa can rejoin the Diamondbacks bullpen, where he's shown flashes as a dominant late-inning weapon.

De La Rosa (elbow) walked one batter in a scoreless inning Wednesday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa looked good in his first game action since undergoing Tommy John surgery in August of 2018. The 29-year-old reportedly touched 99 mph with his fastball, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic Joe. If De La Rosa is able to prove his health, he could carve out a role for himself in Arizona's bullpen.

De La Rosa (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
De La Rosa was recently released by Arizona on Sept. 1 in order to free up a 40-man roster spot, but will rejoin the organization heading into the 2018 campaign. But the right-hander is unlikely to see any time on the mound this upcoming season after undergoing Tommy John surgery -- for the second time -- in late August. As of now, expect that De La Rosa will miss the entire season, but there should be a more concise timetable by the spring training.

De La Rosa (elbow) was released by the Diamondbacks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The Diamondbacks were in need of a spot on the 40-man roster, so they decided to take De La Rosa off it, and he decided to become a free agent. De La Rosa recently underwent Tommy John surgery for the second time, so he could be out until 2019, and it remains to be seen where he will be next time he is ready to get up on a mound.

De La Rosa (elbow) underwent a successful Tommy John surgery Tuesday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
At 28-years-old, the surgery was the second time De La Rosa had to undergo the procedure, the first coming in 2011. The rehab process should keep De La Rosa out for all of 2018, putting him on track to return in time for spring training in 2019.

De La Rosa will undergo Tommy John surgery for the second time in his career.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander first underwent the procedure in 2011. De La Rosa has fleetingly provided fantasy intrigue for his strikeout ability, but he's had trouble limiting walks and -- more pertinently -- staying healthy. This surgery will occur late enough in this season to wonder whether he'll pitch at all in the 2018 season, so perhaps he's best left for deep fantasy consideration in 2019. For what team he'll pitch may be a different matter.
